Can't blame Mayweather for being embarassed. Who wouldn't be embarassed when your fighter is not even competitive in one of the years biggest fights?

Embarrassment shouldn't even enter the equation, tbh. If a guy is seriously hurt you should surely go to his aid - even if you don't particularly like the guy. But to be his trainer and not even show any concern for his health is a fucking disgrace. He'd best not ever visit Manchester, that's all I'll say.
Maybe its Mayweather Sr. is the one that should retire. If I was a fighter I wouldnt want him as my trainer thats for sure.
On another note I thought Pac man was all class in victory as usual.
I've never liked Floyd Sr and I like him even less after all the 24/7 and press conferences. He's a fucking arrogant prick and is much more unbearable than his son. At least with Floyd Jr. you can see some semblance of a human being behind the huge ego. Floyd Sr. is just a confused, negative, bitter old man. You are not the best trainer in the world. You're not even in the top 5.
With that being said, Ricky Hatton got knocked out all on his own. He didn't do ANY of the things that he said him and Floyd Sr worked on. He rushed Pacquiao with his head up and hands low. He hardly used any head movement. He didn't use the jab at all. He got hit with some good shots then he got mad and unfocused and got caught. I'm glad Hatton got KTFO because the way he fought that fight was basically in total disrespect to Pacquiao's power. Total disrespect. Before his fights with Floyd and Manny, he's said that neither of those guys hit as hard as Kosta Tszyu. It's like he keeps trying to use that one win to make himself relevant as an elite fighter. Sorry Ricky, you're not an elite fighter, you're a good fighter and good champion but elite? Not any more.
It's hard to fake compassion for some you dislike. Mayweather was his trainer. Not his wife. He was paid to train him. He wasn't around him just cuz he liked him. I think Mayweather was just fukking mad that he pretty much wasted his time trying to train Hatton. Cuz Hatton did nothing right.
And Mayweather saying Hatton should retire is a form of caring. He's pretty much saying stop fighting before you get hurt. It's the best you going to get from him
no offense bro. and im not trying to call you out. you cant put both things that i highlighted together. your time is not wasted if you are getting paid. and you train the guy. you basically lived with the guy for about 2 1/2 months. mayweather basically was already home before hatton could even open his eyes. now, saying what you said give people the impression that you and mayweather are on the same boat.

Stunning. I just watched the HBO footage and Lefty is right. There is no sign of Mayweather senior afterwards. Hatton is down and a few members of his team are around him and on the way back to the dressing room Hatton is walking next to beard and no sign of Senior. Where the fuck was Mayweather?? It's his obligation to see his fighter through it all and he seems to have done a vanishing act. That is disgusting, disrespectful and totally beyond reproach.
Mayweathers advice between rounds was on the button, but to say "You should have listened to me from day one!". Again, that was uncalled for. There is a time and place to express your grievances but not when the guys been blasted down twice in the 1st! It's outrageous.
And no sign from him at the post fight conference. Again a total disregard of his obligations. And of course turning up for the fight so late. What a twat!!!!You start a camp and you see it through to the end as a pro. If the actual fight was in any way a mirror of the camp, then all I can say is....."Wow"...and we all know there have been a lot of rumours.
If Ricky's camp had gone as well as he was saying, then he really shouldn't have been getting blasted in two. I'm beginning to think that the rumours are true. That Mayweather wasn't taking it entirely seriously and that Ricky was not looking too good in sparring either. This is just guess work on my part, but Ricky fought a shockingly flawed fight and looked in no way at all like a man ready to give the PFP no. 1 a really tough fight.
Even the Diaz's of the world take nine rounds to get their heads taken off. Puzzling.

Yes, I know what you both are saying.
I am bamboozled by the fight and cannot explain it. Manny was great, so I won't take that away from him.
Ricky did fight with his hands around his open chest the whole time. I don't know why. He was inviting fast combinations that he really could not pick off.
Stupid fight.![]()
