third person talk really pisses Saddo off.

2 things he said really stood out to me....

the better man won did win, theres alot of "ifs and buts"... "maybe" it could have been different

    WTF

no one has had a fanbase like Ricky hatton.... 30,000 for this 35,000 for the mayweather fight.

he aint gonna retire it seems to me like its all about the cash now and if people are willing to pay hes gonna carry on milking it.

might be being abit harsh here and please feel free to say i am.... just how i see that interview.

I think you might be being a bit harsh Saddo. He's just come off a brutal KO and is not totally 100% straight talking or thinking. I don't see himout for just money, he loves boxing and is very proud of his achievements and fanbase as anyone would be.

prob mate its just the denial of the KO... re watch it and listen to what he really says.... its like yeah i was KO'd but not outboxed or outclassed.

if i wasnt KO'd things could have been different to many ifs and buts.

when he was outclassed and outboxed he blamed the ref, billy being old and all the other crap.

maybe i am hearing it wrong... but its just how its coming off to me.... he was beaten knocked out early FFS there is no if's or buts about it IMO

I see where your coming from. He was trying to say had the fight gone on it would/could have been a different story but it didn't and he WAS KO'd early. there are no if's and buts to that story!

I actually thought when he mentioned about being outclassed that he'd rather lose the way he did against Pac than the way he did against Mayweather though.

I don't think you're being harsh at all, I also thought the world's self-proclaimed humblest man was getting his ifs and buts in early. I think he'll probably fight again at home, nothing wrong with that as not many fighters will do to him what Pac did.

Bit harsh guys. He just got humiliated and totally slaughtered. He's devastated. He needs to find some solace in defeat. His people would have been feeding him the positive (although there is clearly none).

And talking about still being involved with boxing through his promotions doesn't sound like he fancies fighting again to me.. not at the moment anyway.

I know he's concussed, but he's got previous in the excuse department, '147, Joe Cortez'. I probably am being harsh as I plain don't like the guy (he's as manipulative as people come IMO with his PR), that's why I probably see everything he says in a negative light.

How the hell can you perceive hatton has manipulative??

oh because he doesnt slag off his opponents and bitch talk like so many other fighters.

surely thats called having respect for your fellow man??

or maybe its because hattons taken the easy route throughout his career by fighting the best fighters whenever possible and breaking away from warren other than calzaghe who chose to spend the prime of his career boxing in cardiff arms park infront of one man and his dog
    one dangerous horrible bloke

had to watch that with low sound as in office and no headphones - did he say "he got me with the first punch he threw " ?!? If so which punch was he referring to - the knockdown or KO ?? What about all the other punches ?

Not too sure either about him saying he would rather be taken out like that than outclassed over the duration - think I would prefer people to know I had a solid chin especially if going to fight again.

Ifs and buts I hear him say - yes if Pac hadn't landed countless power punches and two knockdowns and but for the knockout Ricky would still have been in it.

But as far as the fan base is concerned he's right and he will never be rivalled - certainly in UK terms.

Don't sound like he's retiring to me - let's see how he feels after caribbean cruise. There'll be a lot of philippinos on that cuise I can tell you that much !

Must be hard for him though facing up to that outcome, I can't imagine.
