But today WOW! WHAT A FUCKEN STRIKE BY ESSIEN...
Like Zizous CL strike vs. AC Milan but from further out.

Then Iniesta scores in the last minutes... Wow!!
The Zizou strike you're talkin about was in the 2002 final against Bayer Leverkusen not Milan, and as good as Essien's was, it wasn't on the same level, Zidane had to turn more on his. Plus it was in the final, so probably why it got voted the best CL goal of all time. Although for me, the #2, this by Mauro Bressan was the best. Enjoy

I always do that, I say AC because I picture the uniform and it's a lot like AC's uniform but yeah I mean Leverkusen..

Iniestas goal reminded me of Decos goal in the last world cup vs. Iran except in was on the opposite side. Mainly the way the both hit the ball, sweeping it from under.

    Jeepers creepers !

Barcelona were pretty ordinary last night too be honest ! They controlled the middle of the park but Chelsea had the cutting edge !

I think the ref compromised on the 1st penalty claim ,bottled the 2nd and the 3rd in my opinion would have been generous !
Barca huffed and puffed and got into good positions but didnt seem to have a final ball !

Alves was very wasteful and Messi for all his possession and space ( he was afforded alot ) never really stuck hard at chelsea !

Chelsea were dominaited for long periods had some really effective counter attacks and Malouda exposed Alves on a number of Occasions.
Essien faded badly whereas Lampard seemed to get stronger as the game went on , again Ballack played in fits and starts and Drogba toiled but didnt get any suppost from Anelka who seemed full occupied .

I will say this , there is plenty of dead wood in the Barca side alot were poor if not anonymous Eto'o was marked completely out the game , I like the way Essien and Ballack anchored the midfield and stopped Innesta and Xavi from playing those intricate though balls and trianges right up untill the 92 minute !

It was almost a triumph of substance over style last night , Chelsea kept the shapeand discipline for 90 minutes whereas Barca for all there creativity could only muster one effort on goal -the winner .

Good game of football played at the very highest level

I love the way Messi is so spce aware the most talked aboutplayer in the world right now found himself in so much space time and again .

I've always had my doubts about Eto' temprement wise too easily discouraged for me , Xavi and Inniesta though were the heartbeat and Messi the focal point!

Unlucky for both Arsenal and Chelsea!

Arsenal were pretty much dead and buried after Gibbs' slip gifted Park the away goal. After that it had to be caution to the wind and they were always looking vulnerable to the counter. A shame too, they made a pretty good start and looked sharp!
No idea what Almunia was up to for Ronaldo's free kick... how he didn't save that is beyond me. Straight, mid-height and to the near post, an easy save 9 times out of 10.
The 3rd goal was class though, great counter attacking move.
Van Persie's penalty was a peach, impossible to save!

    As for Chelsea...
Well, I punched in Chelsea on my sat nav earlier and it said "2 minutes from Rome."

What’s the difference between David Blunkett and Chelsea?

At least David Blunkett knows how to hang onto a lead.

I just heard that Chelsea will be sponsored by Viagra next season. A spokesman said "the club was willing to try anything to get past a semi"
