I don't believe Floyd Mayweather for a second. He says he's worth $300 million in one interview and $600 million in another. I think he's broke and in debt otherwise why would he continue to rack up interest and penalties with the IRS?
The guy that comes to mind with a big name/image in boxing was Muhammad Ali. He sold the rights to his name image for $50 million to the company that produces American Idol in 2006. I think Pacquiao will surpass that. I read they are showing the fight through out the Philippines in movie theaters and most were already sold out at $10-$20 a seat. I wonder how that stacks up against blockbuster movies?
For sports figures to get enforcements, they need to have a good image. A bad image might sell some products well, like beer, cig. redbull...![]()
Endorsements usually come from being popular and having a good image.
PBF has a record for hitting women, illegitimate children, brags about hanging out in strip clubs, etc. So the image thing is shot.
He's not popular outside of boxing circles because he's not that exciting and he's hard to like after hearing his interviews.
