Witter is Hatton's Froch. Gives it loads of mouth and always calling him out, but has no real right to do so. Those you mentioned aren't greats Saddo, but they were all World Champions when he fought them, except for Lazcano who was a former Lightweight champ.

are we talking about the past or now because Ricky aint a champ now and witter has been in the past so not really sure what your getting at

this fight wouldn't be about belts or P4P

I can't agree that Witter is Hattons Froch... because unlike Froch and Calzaghe.... witters career has run parrallel with hattons.

and the other difference is i don't belive Joe ducked froch

regardless i do not see this fight happening... but as always Witter has come out and stated he would take it like he has for the past 7+ years.

No chance Hatton takes this fight, he wouldn't want to risk losing to Witter. I think Hatton loses to anyone with top class handspeed, and having seen how he fought on Saturday, I think Holt, Bradley & even Khan would have him. Not as brutally as Manny did, but I think he would get done

Even Katsidis would beat Hatton imo. What Hatton needs right now is someone who can't punch. Someone similar to Malinaggi. Someone like David Diaz.

You know I'm beginning to think when Hatton signed to fight Pacquiao, he thought he would be fighting Bobby, so maybe he should fight him & maybe he would at least last the 12.

Exactly how can you compare Witter/Hatton to Calzaghe/Froch??

Calzaghe had been a world champ for 4 years before Froch had even turned pro, Froch first taste of world class level match ups and Calzaghe had already retired?

When should have Joe actully fought Froch?

Hatton on the other hand like Saddo said should of fought Witter anywhere from 2000-2005, they were both the best in the country and both domestic up and comers at the same stage, Hatton fought Mcgee but his over domestic rival Witter he didnt i wonder why??

because Mcgee gave Hatton problems and I think Hatton's always known that Witter would beat him, biggest blatent ducking Ive ever seen but because he has a big fanbase he got away with it...

If Witter was a big enough name in the US the fight would of happened ,there would of been some pressure from HBO and from the UK so the fight would of happend even if Hatton didnt like Witter.

Witter cocked his chance against Judah early in his career and then when he was making a name for his self he got beat by Bradley.

The fight would be a good one at both there stages in there careers if Hatton wants to be champ again and Witter for a big name on his record. But i feel Ricky is past his best and i would like to see him retire to his family safe and sit on his millions.
