are we talking about the past or now because Ricky aint a champ now and witter has been in the past so not really sure what your getting at

this fight wouldn't be about belts or P4P

I can't agree that Witter is Hattons Froch... because unlike Froch and Calzaghe.... witters career has run parrallel with hattons.

and the other difference is i don't belive Joe ducked froch

regardless i do not see this fight happening... but as always Witter has come out and stated he would take it like he has for the past 7+ years.
    Exactly.

    A huge difference.
Exactly how can you compare Witter/Hatton to Calzaghe/Froch??

Calzaghe had been a world champ for 4 years before Froch had even turned pro, Froch first taste of world class level match ups and Calzaghe had already retired?

When should have Joe actully fought Froch?

Hatton on the other hand like Saddo said should of fought Witter anywhere from 2000-2005, they were both the best in the country and both domestic up and comers at the same stage, Hatton fought Mcgee but his over domestic rival Witter he didnt i wonder why??

because Mcgee gave Hatton problems and I think Hatton's always known that Witter would beat him, biggest blatent ducking Ive ever seen but because he has a big fanbase he got away with it...

i feel hatton wont fight witter.this is because his confidence in his chin has gone.before mayweather he could take punches all night long, but even the luzcano fight he seemed to struggle and pac man has just confirmed it(although that punch was one of the best iv ever seen).i am sure everyone will agree though hatton is too good to go out like that.he has to beat a big name who suits his style ie diaz as pointed above.sorry about long post but this is my first one

I agree to an extent with beastman, in as much that I think Witter has enough power to make Hatton not want to take him as a leisurely comeback fight, if he chooses to continue. I don't think the style would suit Hatton at all, and he'd spend a lot of his time trying to get past Witter's backwards movement and popping jabs. I reckon Hatton would beat him, Witter wouldn't run all night without shipping a few shots from Hatton, and that's where he would capitalise.

The article does confirm as well that Witter is preparing for the fight with Devon Alexander for the WBC belt, after Tim Bradley was stripped.
