It could also mean massacre an oppenent.

example: Pacquaiowin mo na! almost like Patayin mo na!
meaning Kill him/it! or Chop em down!

I've heard "pacquiaowin mo na" used before. Just never really connected the word to Manny Pacquiao.

Now that I've thought about it, its putting Pacquiaos name to the word win. Fitting its how Pacquiao wins

To bad Bobby Pacquiao is on the wrong end of it
I guess the word "pacquiao" means Без перевода in russian.

For other countries is normal to have not only one but MANY boxers in different weight divisions as champions and Hall of Famers. Think about Mexico, Puerto Rico, USA, England, etc. So let them be. It may last maybe 2 or 3 more years while Pac is fighting because after that, maybe other Filipino boxers will follow, which is good! More competition to the sport or maybe things will go back to how they were with no asian in the boxing spotlight for many years to come.

Think about this, let's say that Bangladesh beat Brazil in the World Cup and suddenly became competitive and dominate the sport, wouldn't Bangladesh have a lot to brag about, be proud, etc.? Well, think Pac now. Saddoboxer and hardcore PacFanBoys deserves to enjoy this ride while it lasts . I just shake my head slowly and smile when I see threads like this .

I am glad we have Pac in the sport. He brings excitement, big fights, and all the good stuff. A nice likeable humble guy.
Presently Philippines has 3 boxing champs... Last year there's a time when it has 5 champs at the same time... Many years ago there's a time when it has more than 6 champs at one time...

Currently Filipinos focused more on Pacquiao coz he's so big, so popular... In fact, I think he's the most popular active boxer right now all over the world...

Philippines didn't even claimed Filipino-American Brian Viloria... It should have been 4 champs at this time...

    Nonito Donaire - IBF 112, P4P #8
    Donnie Nietes - WBO 105
    Manny Pacquiao - IBO/Ring 140, P4P #1
    Brian Viloria - IBF 108

After PAC retires, I think Donaire will take over as Philippines #1 boxer... This boy is so skilled and smart... Donaire is only 26 years old and he's already #8 on Ring Mag's P4P list... Very bright future...

There's also some good Filipino prospects like Bernabe Concepcion (only 20 years old) and Melligin... Future champs...

I see Donaire getting Pac's 130 million fans worldwide one year from now once Pac retire. He won't be able to do what Manny accomplished, but he'll still be the next big thing. So far he won world title at 112. With his size and power, I see him dominating 115 and 118. I believe he'll also be successful at 122, 126, and 130 two or three years from now.

Donaire will be aiming his 2nd division title at 115 division this coming August 22 against Puerto Rico's 37 year old WBO 115 champ Jose "Carita" Lopez... I think Donaire will be successful on this one...

terrible pac-man threads continue.. what a shock..

they won't actually put this word in the dictionary because pacquiao may eventually have a fight with mayweather..

this would cause a bit of ambiguity in the word after that fight..

So there are only 3 champs up there and MANY years ago there were more than one, etc. Can we say the Philipines are a major country in the history of boxing? As much as Mexico, Puerto Rico, USA, England, etc.?

Is Pac popular? You bet! Does he deserve to be popular? Of course! Is he good? He's GREAT! But let's see if the Philipines is still a country to talk about in boxing after Pac is retired. That's my point.

Like I said, I am glad Pac is around. How boring would boxing be if we didn't have exciting boxers around like him. Imagine if people thought boxing would get boring after having Duran, Hearns, Leonard, Barkley, Hagler, Camacho, Norris, Tyson, Chavez, and many more in the same generation. Boxing is quite exciting even now, we also have lots of names in this generation .

I consider the Philippines as a known player in boxing history (Pancho Villa, Flash Elorde, Ceferino Garcia, Luisito Espinosa, etc.)... You belittle the Philippines and mentioned England... Right now England (UK) has only one legit champ in Carl Froch...
