Honestly I don't think it is PBF drawing the crowds in and drawing in the money. It was his opponents, Oscar and Ricky, drawing people in to PBF's fights with them. To watch Floyd against a run of the mill lightweight instead of Marquez, he wouldn't draw flies to shit.

Call me when Manny cracks the million PPV view mark when a guy named DLH or Hatton isn't on the bill with him as well.

300K is considered a big success in PPV numbers. There is always going to be a competitive opponent to make an argument about who is the draw. No one really knows what it is that makes the draw a mega draw, its only the current buzz along with marketing research that gives promoters an idea if the fight will be big or not. They get it wrong all the time. It's almost exactly like predicting if a movie is going to be a blockbuster. Obviously there some fights that are a no brainier.

Paquiao is the prevailing bandwagon. With each dramatic win he gains more fans, spectators and the like. Weather you like him or not he is boxing current poster child. If you can't see that, you're an idiot! or a simply a Pacquiao hater...
