    Red face Rogan vs Sexton!

Anyone watching this one tonight? It'll be a cracker im sure of it.Sexton is the younger boxer with a unbeaten record and Rogan is the true modern day real life ROCKY that has shocked the heavyweight scene over here in the uk over the last 13 months sence after winning the first adddition of the Prizefighter tournament back in april 2008.

Im hoping if there's some stream on the fight due to it been shown on sky sports 2.

Their both really likable fighters, and both unbeaten soo far too! This could be something special folks

Sexton should do well early by keep moving, but once he tires I expect Rogan to get him.

Sexton isn't unbeaten. Chisora stopped him a while back. He's come on well since then, winning the second prizefighter and picking up a minor area title too. I think if he boxes and moves he can win this tonight. His strategy in the second prizefighter was really clever and I think if he employs a similar strategy and not engage in a war he'll win on points over 12. I like Rogan but I can't see him being successful for the long term. He is entertaining though.

I was thinking like you when the fight was first made.. but if Chisora can stop Sexton then Rogan definitely can, especially with the home support he'll have.

I agree, but from what I've seen of Sexton he learnt from that defeat. In the 2nd Prizefighter and his Southern Area title victory he seemed to be really thinking in there, picking his shots and moving well. Granted this is a step up, and with the hostile crowd and the manor in which Rogan fights this will be difficult, but if he keeps his head I honestly believe he can outbox Rogan. Like Yvonne said though, it should be a cracker. Can't remember when I last looked forward to a domestic Heavyweight clash as much.

Sky Sports 2 for me. Cant wait. Always excited about Rogan. Best thing about tonights curry and boxing is that once the Rogan fight is over there is the perfect cure for insomnia: James De Snore is fighting!

    Default Rogan Vs Sexton

What a sham the ref Dave paris should be ashamed of himself before that final round he said to Rogan in his corner i will give you this round then im stopping it. Rogan went out had Sexton out on his feet Sexton turned his back Rogan swung a punch at him and hit his shoulder Ref stopped action to warn Rogan but never warned Sexton for turning his back then Rogan gets him going again Sexton staggering back points at his gumshield he has spat out Ref stops action again giving Sexton a breather then Rogan hurts him again and Ref stops action again takes Rogan to Doctor to look at his eye and fight is stopped even though Ref said he would give him the round then stop it after if he hadn't won the fight. Rogan could have stopped Sexton but Ref saved him at every opportunity. Also the Ref warned Sexton loads about holding but he never started to take points just continued to warn also never warned Sexton for rubbing his head on Rogans swollen eye.

I understand the stoppage, but he should have waited until at least the end of the round. I'm just repeating now but the ref was utter shite tonight, if he was a football ref in the Premiership he would be relegated to League 2 after that performance! Should be a rematch but I can't see it unfortunately.

Something should be done about Dave Parris cuz he ruined the Barrera - Khan fight too. He cant keep making such stupid decisions. He should have waited until Sexton had recovered until he called the doc up

The bit where Sexton pointed to the canvas then hit Rogan, I dont think he can be blamed for. He was out on his feet and was entitled to keep punching cuz the ref again was too slow to get in there.

As for the fight- it was a good mix of styles. Rogan came out using more head movement . Had Sexton stunned in the 2nd. Sam started out boxing him for the next few rounds and I think he had Rogan hurt afew times. In the 7th He had Rogan badly hurt and Rogan seeemd to want out of there cuz his eye was hurting him and he was backing off but Sam is such a poor finisher that he didnt identify this and just crowded his work by leaning on Rogan letting him off the hook. Huge last ditch effort from Rogan in the 8th. Had it been refd differently we would have seen a different result but well done to Sam for coming through that crisis to emerge with a win.

Only caught the fight this morning on Sky Sports, missed the Olympians. How did they all get on and did they look any good?

Rogan Sexton was a right cock up. Got to say I was annoyed with Sexton for being such a coward, spitting his gum shield out and looking to the ref to stop the fight. If he was so hurt why didn't he just take a knee and try and recover?

Instead he just quit there and then and then somehow won the belt FFS!!

That's not Sexton's fault mind, Rogan's inexperience got the better of him. And he still had the decency to congratulate Sexton and be happy about it all after the fight.

    The rematch will 100% happen

Been looking forward to this one, Sexton's attitude after the last fight really got my goat, after the ref conspired to swindle Rogan out of the result when Sexton couldn't even lift his arms to protect himself.

Hopefully Rogan settles the score....big KO!
