What an absolute robbery! Rogan must be utterly furious at Dave Parris for that shocking display of refereeing. Sexton must be baffled as to how he ended up with the belt there! He was being pounded around the head in the eighth, he spat out his gumshield. He was still staggering after getting his gumshield back in, and when Rogan points this out to the ref, Sexton throws a straight shot with nothing in it. At this juncture, Parris decides to give Sexton even more of a resting opportunity and goes to the doctor for Rogan's eye, which Sexton has been grinding against for four rounds since it started swelling. Sexton should have been stopped, he didn't remember anything between spitting his gumshield out and getting a belt strapped on him.

If Rogan doesn't get a rematch or Sexton is stripped if he won't take the fight, then the BBBC should hung drawn and quartered.

Yes I'm ranting, but I can't believe what I witnessed there tonight.

And Sexton spent a large part of the fight turning his back in the clinches, with Dave Parris doing nothing to warn him for this, except for warning Rogan not to hit him?!!?! Sexton boxed well for some of the fight, but he was beaten in the eighth and Rogan's compassion not punching a guy who couldn't even see him saw him lose the fight. He held off when Sexton had one eye on the floor and one eye rolling up at the roof.

    Rhun I agree 100%.

I never moan about refs but Dave Parris had a complete mare there

I didn't like that Sexton pointed at his gumshield on the floor - Rogan stopped and then Sexton landed 3 shots (cheap shots)

I had Sexton a round up but he was out on his feet at times in the last round. Rogans eye was completely shut at the time of the stoppage but the stoppage was against the momentum of the fight which was in Rogans favour.

A Great fight though and Sexton boxed very well at times.

    Rematch should definately happen.

A cynic (IE me) might suggest that Sexton might have sneaked his way to a belt, taking advantage of an honest man. One shot after Sexton spat out that gumshield and Rogan would be looking forward to an European title shot.

Watched the fight in work last night and was disgusted at the way it was reffed.

Sexton held on the inside right from the start and was wanrned but no points taken.

Both fighters gave it there all and you cant blame Sexton for doing what he can get away with coz its the refs job to enforce the rules.

Cant remember an example of worse refing in a British ring.(I dont have a good memory)

    Rematch,rematch,rematch,rematch,rematch!!!!!!

Gutted by the fight,at first Rogan had the option to finish Sexon but stood there asking Sexton to trade punches back at him instaed of just going in and finishing, and then the incident with the gumshield too!Rogan's eye was really badly close.Im sure a rematch would be even a more better fight. The 8th round was a classic!!

You can't take too much away from Sexton. He boxed very well and Rogan was a tool to stop fighting when he did. This was the best British Heavyweight fight for a while so lets hope Warren makes the rematch because the ending was too controversial and the fight was too good not to do it again.
