He should have made 15-20%. Some trainers even demand more. 10% is nearly insulting imo. My opinion of Hatton started to change around the time he beat Castillo. It seemed that he got to big for his own good, and he thought he was bigger than he was and in his mind he outgrew Graham. Even his fallout with Mayweather Sr was a lot on him and his failure to listen to Floyd Sr. I say good for Graham. He doesnt owe Ricky any loyalty, it seems like it was Ricky who broke that bond.

My opinion on Hatton is so low at the minute, that I'm not surprised at this.

I heard his dad on Setanta sports hinting that the last defeat wasn't Hatton's fault. ffs.

Hatton to me, is a bloke who did well against an aging legend twice and that's about it. Ducked Witter - got embarrassingly outclassed when he stepped up to the big boys (when they weren't over 35) and blames everyone else when things go wrong.

Hatton used to talk about cementing his legacy. I guess he'll be in the top 100 UK boxers of all time - HoFer? No way.

No matter if 10% is too much or too little, the fact is: If they had an agreement and even more a contract, Graham has fully the right to get this 10%. Of course, if he really hasn't been paid for the job and if the situation isn,t more complex than what it has been stated in the article.

It's open and shut, just pay him what he's owed. He also showed a lot of class by not dumping it on him while he was preparing for a huge fight.

Tricky one this one. I read somewhere that Billy Graham himself said that they never had a contract and it has always been a gentlemans agreement.

Therefore what does he get 10% of?

10% after Ricky has paid everybody else?
10% of Ricky's inital bout fee
10% of any fees plus PPV revenue
10% less cost of accomodation and travel

Without a contract its all up in the air for me, unless it is all in his book.

May depend what the 10% has been previously.

not totally sure whether hatton/graham had a contractural agreement when hatton signed the 8 fight deal with sky sports.

That was before mayweather and within 2 fights graham had been sacked. If however it was a mutual agreement between the 2 and hatton paid graham himself i cant see what case billy has here

yeah i no billy graham has alot of love for ricky, but if ur owed money then it becomes a different story. i wonder if ricky will pay him without causing a fuss and denying he owes it him.thats if ricky does actually owe him it. it would be sad if these 2 fell out

Hatton's already trying to rob people of money he owes them and he isn't even a proper promoter yet. It looks like he'll fit right in with the other top British promoters. What an arsehole.

It was first revealed in the press a week or two before the fight.

circulated rumours can hardly be construved as factual evidence.

Im pretty sure hatton himself didnt make his mind up until after the fight and the criticism he took for his performance.

Hatton/Graham has many elements of tyson/rooney about it

    Never!?!

It was let out just before Hatton's fight, so they probably knew it was coming even before that.
