Billy Graham is suing Ricky Hatton

Tricky one this one. I read somewhere that Billy Graham himself said that they never had a contract and it has always been a gentlemans agreement.

Therefore what does he get 10% of?

10% after Ricky has paid everybody else?
10% of Ricky's inital bout fee
10% of any fees plus PPV revenue
10% less cost of accomodation and travel

Without a contract its all up in the air for me, unless it is all in his book.

May depend what the 10% has been previously.

not totally sure whether hatton/graham had a contractural agreement when hatton signed the 8 fight deal with sky sports.

That was before mayweather and within 2 fights graham had been sacked. If however it was a mutual agreement between the 2 and hatton paid graham himself i cant see what case billy has here

If there is evidence of the verbal agreement being put into practice, where Billy was given 10% of a fight purse, then he has a shot. Especially if there is a corroborative witness or two such as Kerry Kayes. I feel sorry for Billy Graham, not sure what chance has against those scheming bastards Gareth Williams & Paul Speak.

Hatton admitted in his book that Graham got 10% (so someone says in this thread) and Graham will have bank records showing that so he's got a pretty good case. Will Hatton risk going to court and being seen as a guy who won't keep his word? It's a bit of a blow to his carefully constructed salt of the earth image, isn't it? Or will he try and keep money he rightfully owes somebody else even though it'll trash his image?
