In terms of achievements, its Pacquiao for me. In terms of skill though, its Floyd Mayweather Jr.
I can't see how anyone wouldn't think its close? Pacquiao' fights with Barrera, Morales & Marquez are more than enough to make it close. But for me the loses are one factor in the difference! Morales beat him (sure he avenged that lose twice, dominately which shows how great Pacquiao is but he was beaten) & both Marquez fight arguably could have gone either way (I thought Marquez won both).

I would agree with you on Marquez maybe scraping the 2nd fight but not the first.
pacman currently
he ko'ed Hatton in 2, Mayweather in 10
he ko'ed DLH in 9 . Mayweather barely beat him
btw Castillo beat PBF inthe first fight.
Why are you comparing the KO's?
Mayweather isn't a come forward one shot KO fighter, he is a lay back counter punching defensive master who has underrated power. So it's not unheard of that Pacquiao would KO people Floyd didn't it means nothing.
You actually think that Floyd "barely" beat Oscar? That's a laugh.
Castillo beat PBF in the first fight? Marquez beat Pacquiao in the rematch and Pacquiao barely salvaged a draw in the first fight despite knocking him down 3 times.
Anyone can speak out of hate but to make an outlandish statement like Floyd barely beat Oscar..
You just looked up the records on boxrec didnt you?
Pac, close but clear.
I'm a Pac fan and even I admit that Floyd beat a much better version of Oscar at a higher weight. The Oscar that Pac faced was a shell.imo any decent fighter north of 135 would have beat Oscar that night.
Hatton's punch resistance has been gone since Floyd took his '0'.
You can be a fan,but look at the facts without the 'blinkers'

At this point in time, I think PAC has the better boxing legacy compared to PBF... PAC a 4-time lineal champ (the only boxer to achieved 4 lineal titles) and a 6-division titliest... PBF a 5-division titliest...
PAC:
1998-12-04 112 Chatchai Sasakul - LINEAL TITLE
2001-06-23 122 Lehlohonolo Ledwaba
2003-11-15 126 Marco Antonio Barrera - LINEAL TITLE
2008-03-15 130 Juan Manuel Marquez - LINEAL TITLE
2008-06-28 135 David Diaz
2009-05-02 140 Ricky Hatton - LINEAL TITLE
PBF:
1998-10-03 130 Genaro Hernandez
2002-04-20 135 Jose Luis Castillo
2005-06-25 140 Arturo Gatti
2006-04-08 147 Zab Judah
2007-05-05 154 Oscar De La Hoya

I think there were two similar threads to this topic recently.
Just look through those two and people have already spoken their opinion about this...
Anyone who voted Mayweather over Pacquiao must be out of there damn mind...Seriously. IMO, you're place in history is based on the COMPETITION you've faced. To say Mayweather has faced tougher, better competition then Pac respectively is just plain ridiculous.
Pac's biggest wins: PRIME Morales 2x, PRMIE Barrera 2x, PRIME JMM 2x, PRIME Hatton.
Mayweather's biggest wins: Beyond Prime ODH, JLC (he was gifted the first fight), very troubled Diego, Hatton (please, Hatton already proved he didn't belong at 147lbs when he was doing the chicken dance against Collazo).
Seriously...the ones who voted for Mayweather are either related to him directly or blind/devoted Mayweather fans.

Who are these guys?
David Diaz?? o wow
I'd have to say Pacquiao has proven himself quite well and at the moment it is very close, but I see Mayweather as the better fighter. A win over JMM (whom im very confident he will beat) will IMO clearly give him the better legacy
