Ive spoke to John loads of times, and he is geting pissed off, hes at his peak now and needs to be fighting all the time, not every 5/6 months hopefully he gets Thaxton and moves on later in the year.

completely agree. murray neds big fights now. I think he looks world class, a strong win against thaxton would really boost his reputation, looking forward to that later this year.
He's not ready for World Class yet. Nowhere near in fact.
Probably European level but even then i'd be careful of who i'd put him in with. Quite similar to Kevin Mitchell imo.
Just an above average fighter imo.

I'd trust him on the European scene. Decent chin and decent power in the punch, he's devastating at times because he never is out of his opponents face. People like Martin Kristjansen, Diaz Melero and even the champion Mezaache wouldn't bother him IMO. Thaxton is an acid test. He beats Jonno, he has to be fighting for a European title.
I do really like Murray, love the way he goes about his business. McGuigan summed it up totally when he said Murray hunts you down and beats you up. Still leaning towards him struggling at WC but i really wanna see him step it up. beatin up Scott Lawton proves nothing, on the other hand beating up Thaxton will prove he's ready for a european challenge for sure. IMO he will hunt down and beat up thaxton too, he looked so worn out when he fought Mezache. The good thing about a Thaxton fight, is we'll see John's chin thouroughly tested, as he does ship too much punishment too easy for me and Thaxton can punch no doubt.
Murray stops Thaxton late on for me in a toe to toe battle at times......
I just noticed somethin else today too which was weird about the Murray fightin Lawton thing. I picked up Boxing Weekly this mornin in Tesco's and on the back, on the Chris Edwards bill, it has Lawton fightin, 26 May. Surely he wouldn't wanna try and go 12 with Murray so soon after. Murray is going to absolutely wipe the floor with him.
I really like John, my brothers pal is good mates with Joe so theyv'e all been a few times. Not seen him yet though so would love to go along. I can imagine he's gettin a bit annoyed. You need to keep busy to keep sharp and his situation can't be helpin. Hennessey worries me a little in that respect. I know he got Froch a shot against Taylor but that is about all he has achieved, don't know whether i'm bein harsh but. Just expect better, feel like he always talks a bit more crap than most.
I see Murray turning Thaxton over too, he's looked to be havin a few stamina issues in his last couple of fights and Murray will run him into the ground if hes like that again. Murray would also make light work of Mezach too and certainly wouldn't let him pick pocket the fight thats for sure....

Yeah Lawton was supposed to fight Gary Buckland in an elimanator, but that has been cancelled as he received the call for the Murray fight. What is on the back of Boxing News is a fight poster, and so close to the Edwards bill they never adjust the poster.
Murray did have a go at Hennessy and his matchmakers for not getting him in the ring sooner after the McAllister fight. He claimed he should be fighting Mezzache. Hennessy's team bounced back saying Murray said he wanted Breidis Prescott and then changed his mind saying he wanted the Euro belt and blamed it on the fact he couldn't make his mind up with what he wanted. I can see a split coming on soon. Guaranteed Murray has it in his mind to switch to another promotor like Warren, as I think he is jealous at the quality of fights and the attention Khan has received. I mean he's had Barrera and has a World title shot so soon after getting blown out in a round where as Murray is still stuck fighting domestic fights.
