Yeah report says once he has fought Lacey he is looking at Clinton Woods and Green, they are 'reportedly' negotiating for the fight now and it would be held in Australia.

Sounds like the typical Ausie press trying to talk up one of their boys ..........who knows stranger things have happend.........not many but some

Maybe there is a bit of truth in it then, but i can only see RJJ fighting someone like Woods or Green if there was a world title at stake, i was speaking to Woods promoter funny enough last night and hes confident he would get Woods a title shot before the end of the year, but against who i dont no?

    Maybe the IBO against RJJ

Anything would be better than seeing Mundine/Green again.... Mundine vs Jones would be okay.. Mundine has a similar style and it would be fun to watch the former master vs the try-to-be padawan... Though for Mundine to win and have Roy Jones on his legacy forever would be only a slight travesty when he's totally missed the opportunity to put any big names on his resume his whole life...
As for Green not being known in America, I don't think Sheika was much bigger of a name over there either....
And Jones i'm sure isn't really still fighting to "gain" anything to add to his legacy... He's fighting because he still loves the game...
As long as you love the game also and don't try to put these type of fights into the same box as the prime time fights, then you can still enjoy watching them..
It's a shame to watch a former great like jones struggling with a no name fighter he would have put away in 1 round back in the day, but if you take the fight as is without expectations and adding other things to it, like I said, you can enjoy them in some way.... Will never be as exciting as a title fight between 2 young guys,,, but it's not trying to be..... It will always be dissapointing and sad and pointless if you try to put it into that box..

Outside Australia, not many people know Green, or Mundine for that matter. He is perhaps most famous in the US for having a widely broadcast spar with James Toney when he was Interim Super Middleweight champion, and Toney a blown up heavy.

He somehow won the WBA Light heavyweight belt, then retired, abdicating the belt with out ever defending it. When he fought Mundine, he was massacred in 2006.

I may be in the minority here but I feel Green would beat this version of Jones if this fight came off...

Easy pickings ?? Don't know how they would promote this outside of Australia though, would probably get a decent gate but still not convinced unless they can sell it to the AFL crowd, just don't think boxing is that popular here ? over to you for that one Andre, what do you reckon mate.

Failure I think.Yet the public here in Melbourne come out of the woodwork for boxing so you never know. Kostya and Soliman get/got sell outs here.
Recon Mundane would be a better fight and would draw more crowds ; he may well win it on points via speed. Green wouldnt have a hope I dont think, never have liked his middle of the road style,to easily exposed by better footwork.

I dont think Roy will come here unless its to visit on holidays.
