Seriously, why did Oscar dela Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. not on this list?? I thought, these 2 were bigger celebrities than Pacquiao... Forbes is an American publication and Hoya and PBF were US nationals...
.
Without looking at any of the thread, it must be de la Hoya. Even when he gets thumped, his statuis grows/![]()
Among celebrity athletes, PAC is right there in the middle... The only boxer to make it to the Top 100...

one dangerous horrible bloke
list is a bit short sighted to be honest.
Footballers like kaka & messi are reportedly taking home up to £15 million a year on footballing wages alone without bringing in their various advertising deals.
Im pretty sure even with Formula 1s various millions the only ever driver that could compete with that is Michael Schumacher
one dangerous horrible bloke
This is how they determined the Top 100 list:
"The Celebrity 100, which includes film and television actors, models, chefs, athletes, authors and musicians, is a measure of entertainment-related earnings and media visibility (exposure in print, television, radio and online). The earnings estimates consist of pre-tax income between June 2008 and June 2009. Management, agent and attorney fees are not deducted."
I'm guessing Kaka & Messi are not so well known around the world for I don't know this guys... Of course Schumy is popular but he's already retired and maybe his income from entertainment field is not that much anymore...

A magical team, a longtime illusionist and a cooking legend all represent Las Vegas on Forbes’ annual list of "The World’s Most Powerful Celebrities."
The Celebrity 100, which includes film and television actors, models, chefs, athletes, authors and musicians, is a measure of entertainment-related earnings and media presence.
MGM Grand regular David Copperfield hit the list at No. 80 after making an estimated $30 million from June 2008 to June 2009.
One of Las Vegas’ most famed chefs, Wolfgang Puck, made the list at No. 95 with $18 million.
Magic duo Penn and Teller rounded out the list at No. 96 with a combined $20 million.
Not a resident but a regular fighter in Las Vegas, Manny Pacquiao, was new to the list, ranking No. 57 with $40 million.
"The Celebrity 100 is a measure of power based on money and fame,” Forbes said of its report. "Fame is calculated using Web hits on Google Blog Search, TV/radio mentions on LexisNexis, overall press mentions on Factiva and the number of times a celebrity's image appeared on the cover of 25 consumer magazines."
pretty similar to your posts actually, and hey, you're the only one here basing your threads off of blogs
dead certain if it's Forbes millionaire list, both Mayweather and especially DLH are well ahead of Manny
who makes more money? current p4p #1 boxer? or owner of one of the top 2 boxing promotion companies & Ring Magazine? oh yea and add in, highest paid non-heavyweight fighter of all time, and i doubt the REAL answer will be Pacquiao
You really should check the archives over at Forbes, pretty sure you'll find Oscar on there prior to Manny. And ever heard of Ring magazine...rumor has it Oscar has a say in that Publication
the question should be....who has made more ears bleed with their CD releases ...hmmm
