ITV are pulling out of boxing too when their current contract with Hennessy ends. Setanta will do well to survive another twelve months, they're going to have to totally rewrite their business model. Pretty soon boxing will be Friday night domestic stuff on Sky and PPV for anything involving a Brit at world level.
Where have you heard ITV are pulling out?

If Setanta and ITV are out within a year then I will have to fork out for Sky which I left April 2008.

The Setanta Sports channels could have just days left on the air. The troubled broadcaster has appointed accountancy firm Deloitte that could place it into administration if agreement cannot be reached with rights holders and investors.

Setanta has until tomorrow to pay the latest £3 million instalment on its £31m agreement with the Scottish Premier League. A £35 million instalment is due to be paid to the English Premier League on June 15.

There are also satellite distribution contracts with Arqiva and Globecast together with the Virgin Media JV Setanta Sports News, produced by ITN.

Setanta is believed to have 1.2 million premium customers, some 500,000 shy of the total needed for breakeven. In excess of two million subscribers are also able to access the channel under “feels like free” agreements with Virgin, BT Vision and Top Up TV.

The problems facing the Dublin-based broadcaster echo the situation that surrounded ITV Digital, the terrestrial pay-TV platform that collapsed in 2002, owing £178.5m to the Football League.
Well it seems its a matter of days before they go under now.

Sky will probablt kinda sorta buy them. They'll become another part of the Sky Sports package, like Premier Plus before Setanta bought Premier League rights. The alternative for Sky is letting ESPN move in. Those guys have serious money and could turn into a big competitior for Sky in the long run, so Sky will probably do a deal with Setanta to prevent that happening so easily.

We need competition so it would be bad for boxing if Sky monopolises boxing and our money.

I told Sky to bollox yesterday. We've still got it for kids and shite that my wife watches. I've cancelled sports and movies.

I bent this woman's ear about Amir fucking Khan being ppv.

I think that is a disgrace and I'll be fucked if I'm paying it.
