David Haye is in the same group as Solis and Povetkin....talented guys, but they just aren't ready for the big time.

Am I alone in thinking that MAYBE David Haye would have had problems with Wladimir just from a talent standpoint...the heavyweights Haye has fought aren't even in the same league and Wlad and hell even the cruiserweights Haye fought weren't all that great in talent....to step up from Monte Barrett DIRECTLY to Wladimir Klitschko and to think there wouldn't be an issue due to the quality of the talent is just fucking dumb.

It's like saying some dude is hitting .700 in High School baseball and he's ready to face the best pitcher in the MLB!

David Haye: "I'm sorry to disappoint all my fans"

David Haye commented, "I'm sorry to disappoint all my fans across the world and I hope that once I have had the sufficient treatment, I will be able to start training again and we can get the fight on as soon as possible. I know this is the fight the fans want and I will do everything to make sure it happens."

"We are disappointed that David will be unable to fight for the World Heavyweight Championship on June 20th, but we want to make sure that he is in top condition when he fights Wladimir," said Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions. "We hope David makes a fast recovery and we can reschedule the fight as soon as possible."
Hope, damn right with the $$$ that are at stake here. I know that recovering from injury is not an exact science, but saying that he "hopes" to be ready is asking a lot with the millions that are on the line here. Haye's camp should grant Finkel full access to Hayes medical doctor and medical records before considering a postponement. JMO

Not to change the subject, but am I alone in thinking Chagaev isn't a bad stand-in opponent assuming the hep B can be contained? He is a top 5 heavyweight and the only fighter to beat Valuev. He is too small to beat Klitschko. Moreover, if he loses, the heavyweight picture is cleared up a little. Yes?

Sure Rantacrat, exactly my point, Chagaev is a PROVEN commodity in the WBA part of the heavyweight division. We can say he's "too small" but he beat Valuev who is a lot bigger than Wlad, maybe 4 inches taller and at least 60 pounds heavier.

I rate Ruslan too. I actually think he has a decent chance of beating Wlad. I can't stand Wlad, but if at 3 weeks notice he takes a fight with Chagaev, I'd have nothing but respect for that.

I hope the Chagaev fight is made! It crowns a Ring Champion & has more importance than Haye at this time

Let Haye heal properly & fight either Vitali, Arreola or the winner of Chambers/ Dimitrenko before getting a chance at Wlad again

Its like Wlad said Haye is now back in the waiting line!

The first Ring Champion since Lennox.

Am I the only person who would actually be excited about a heavyweight fight for once if a Cris Arreola v. David Haye fight could be made?

I'm not sure about Chagaev as an opponent - ain't the guy ill? If he was perfectly healthy he would have fought Valuev.

He was also struggling very badly against the unknown Carl Davis Drummond until the cut helped him out.

I hope Valuev steps in and gets chopped down by Wlad - I'm not a fan of either but one has the skills and the other doesn't.

Who is Vitali fighting next? I thought Arreola was going to fight him? Or isn't Cristobel ready?

Maybe Haye will get to fight Vitali instead - thats a fight they both want.
