Apparently everyone in England is dying to see David Haye killed in the ring ...what gives? Last time one of YOUR BOYS got KO'd all you Brits were on here moaning about how you "cried all night" and "How dare HBO show Ricky's family as he's lying there motionless on the canvas!"......will you cry when David Haye finally gets his shot (stays healthy) and get's battered from pillar to post

Not sure about the good folk in England. But you Klitschko fans in Mexico seem to be very happy that the Haye fight is off.

I've given examples of why the Wladimir Klitschko-David Haye fight was not great at the moment...I never said that I didn't want the fight to happen, I'm happy any time Wlad fights as I am sure the Pacquiao fans are happy when Manny fights, and the Pavlik fans and Cotto fans are happy when those guys fight.....but for the division as a whole this fight and this point in time was not going to heal the heavyweight division the way all you Haye fans think it would...even if the stars lined up right and Haye won the division would still be fucked on account of Don King and the WBA.

Ruslan Chagaev is WBA Champion (in recess), Wladimir Klitschko holds the IBF and WBO titles (and the lesser IBO title as well)...if Wladimir was to win then he would have a clear shot at Nicolay Valuev who tucked dick and ran screaming like a little girl when Wladimir's people offered him the fight. And not only would he have a shot at him, he would have a LEGITIMATE claim to the WBA belt ergo making him the holder of 3 belts and making the heavyweight division whole again (whole in that the people who wanted the WBA belt would have to actually fight someone good for a change, not in that Wlad would be the unified Champion or anything).

Had David Haye gone after the WBA belt and won it then SHIT YEAH this fight would be worth waiting for but right now Haye needs to get healthy, fight a top contender, and earn his shot.

Lyle do you realistically feel Haye causes no threat whatsoever to Bitchsko ?

When was the last time Wlad faced anybody as fast, powerful and determined as Haye ?

When did Tony Thompson, when did Hasim Rahman...what about biitch ass Ray Austin or even Sam Peter ?

Haye has stepped upto the plate numerous times and has shown power, speed and brutal knockouts in his 2 HW fights thus far. Something that Wlad can't deal with.

Rahman beat Lewis, Tony Thompson and Sam Peter were at least young undefeated ranked heavies, (the only comparison to Haye there is the young bit)

If Haye showed brutal power in beating Barrett then Cliff Couser must have shown, er............... even more brutaler power

No point going on about it Lee, what Lyle doesn't understand is that Haye poses a decent threat to Clit because of his speed of movement and one-punch KO power. Lyle feels safer knowing that Clit is going to be fighting a smaller guy who is too slow to do anything other than stand in front of Clit not actually doing anything. You can't even blame Lyle or Clit. It's just what they have become accustomed too. Rahman, Thompson, Peter, Austin.

Clit fans like to retort to the 'what has David Haye ever done to deserve a shot' line which is fine until you remember who Clit has been fighting recently. Furthermore i highly doubt the Clit fans would complain about Nate Campbell getting a shot straight away at 140, or Pac getting a shot straight away at 135 and 140, or indeed any other undisputed champion moving up in weight.

I go with LEftylee there, Haye hasn't proved nothing and got shaken up by a far lesser opponent than Wlad. Haye has a decent speed but he's sure not a speedracer for the HW division. As for his power, he has proven great things at cruiserweights but nothing so far in the HW division, beside, Wlad is more powerful than him, sharper, bigger with a much similar speed (at least, in his range). Haye brings excitement because of his brash out mouth and super aptitude to self promote and to raise up passions but in all honesty, his chances to win are from slim to very slim.

Klitschko and his team had been considering the postponement, but when it still hadn't received a medical report on Haye's injury by Friday afternoon, they opted for Chagaev.
"We have only heard from them about this injury but not received the medical report," Boente said. "The main obstacle in Wladimir's mind was that we can never count 100 percent on Haye. The options were Chagaev on June 20 or delay the Haye fight to July 11. But the big obstacle was that we don't know that suddenly Haye doesn't cancel again because his back is still not 100 percent. Then with the summer vacations in Europe, we can't do a fight until the fall. We couldn't take that risk."

This is why I refuse to give Haye the benefit of the doubt. Today's MRI equipment can detect even slight micro muscle tears. This sort of thing happens in the NFL often because with the amount of money that NFL players are paid, you need a proper "doctors note", LOL.

So he elects to fight a guy who has just pulled out of another fight with hepatitus? Rather than wait 3 weeks to fight Haye. I'm thinking B.I.T.C.H.

Sorry Lyle and other Clit fans but to call it off and fight somebody who is just as likely...if not more likely to pull out is ridiculous

I've read Vlad been immunized against hepatitis (wonder if Valuev was immunized too?) and Chagaev hepatitis is a very minor one where you got more chance struck by lightning than being infected by Chagaev hepatitis...

Hepatitus B is 10 times more infectous than HIV. My point wasn't that anyway.

Point was Chagaev is surely just as likely to pull out due to the symptoms of Hepatitus B - The nausea, vomiting, fatigue etc...

#1 Chagaev didn't pull out of the Valuev fight, the Athletic Commission in Finland wouldn't allow him to fight, methinks Don King would rather Valuev fight John Ruiz or Kali Meehan so as to hang on to the WBA belt.

#2 I never said Haye didn't pose "a threat" I just said it would be better for Haye and better for the division if he actually fought some decent heavyweights before jumping in with the big fish. 1 punch can change any fight BUT KO-ing Monte Barrett doesn't mean much.

I think the thing you don't understand ono, is that Chagaev WAS fit to fight but Valuev and Don King didn't want to lose the title again and that is why the fight was called off in Finland. As for David Haye's injury, all we have been told is that it's a "back injury" why haven't we been told more
