I think Federer wins easily in 3 sets, and the 9-0 head to head in Federers favour should do Rogers confidence the world of good.

No way this goes 3 straight sets; if it does it wouldn't surprise me if it was Soderling on the winning side of the 3 setter. I thought he was just playing the match of his life against Nadal and would get burn out; but he has been a good player before now but the thing that's helped him is his conditioning; which has improved massively.

The head to head with Fed won't matter much; as look at the head to head Fed had with Del Potro; hell the guy had never even taken a set off of Fed and almost beat him down yesterday. If Soderling doesn't lose his cool{he has already proved himself a threat and this has turned into an unforgettable tourny for him so why freak out now??}then he'll give Fed all he could want. Fed is the one who has to keep his cool; the whole world will be watching to see if he can tie the slam record and get that one trophy missin from his case. He lets Sod get up on him 2 sets it's over.

The weather should help Fed as the court is playing heavier and Sod won't be able to power game Fed; so expect alot of dropshots and net work from Fed. Gonna be nerve wracking for me. I might not even watch ad wait till I know it's over; as I don' think my ulcers can deal with it.

    I predict Sod in 4-sets.

Not a hope imo mate, Soderling will have tasted nothing like this im going:

    7-5 6-4 6-3 Federer.

Difference between Del Potro and Soderling is that 1. Del Potro is 20 years old and is still improving so the head to head there is not as relevant, 2. Del Potro is world class and imo has just stepped up into the top 5 ( Nadal Federer Murray Djokovic and now Del Potro) and the rest of the tour.

Soderling has been known as a choker all his career he once blew a 6-0 5-1 lead in a masters series a couple of years ago and lost, he is talanted and has suprised me and the rest of the world, but theres a reason eh has hovered around 25-50 for the most of his career mentally he is shaky, beating Nadal very impressive and his two results after that but i think the head to head is very relevant, Soderling isnt some kid hes more or less 25 years old 9-0 against Federer is huge imo. I think Federer will take the first set then role over him, hey maybe im wrong but i cant see it.

Well you got some poins; but even you must admit this is a different Soderling we're seeing. Most of that has to do with his new found conditioning.

And the age is a difference between him and Del Potro, but this could be a positive for Sod as he's to the point where he does't care now and is going for each shot like it's his last. Some of these guys get tight and play it safe when they shouldn't, like Fed the last year or so; Sod figures what the hell and goes for it. That combined with his strength and conditioning make him dangerous, as has been seen in this tourny. He has choked alot, and if you saw the middle of the 4th set and start of the 5th against Gonzo he started to have a meltdown there too; then just got ice cold and did his thing.

I hope you're right though and Fed eats him in 3 sets; will be glad to come back here and eat crow. But this could be like a Michael Chang type upset

I will say this; best tennis vs. best and Fed wins. This will go down to how Fed brings it. If he is strong mentally tomorrow hetakes it, no matter how good Sod is. It's up to him and blocking out the 14 slams and finally winning the FO and press, fans ,whatever. Just needs to say fukk it and do what he does best. I'm already nervous

Agree mate Soderling has been playing amazing tennis and just hitting the ball so hard and deep, the Nadal victory was amazing i think the way he best Davydenko was unreal as Davydenko is probably one of most underrated players int eh world and especially on clay, i hope we see an amazing final, i also agree Federer hasnt really played that well and on another day Del Potro wins that semi in straights but he is still young and is getting closer and closer to beating the top guys, but like i say if i had had to put money on it id go Federer in staright but, most my predictions have been awful so far.

About Davydenko he has always been a fave of mine; just gt tired of seeing him not get that elite game when he needed it. He has to be one of the fittest guys; and he will go and go and go all day. I awys called him Mighty Mouse cause' thats what he reminded me off I wouldn't call him an underachiever, gatekeeper seems more the word, I guess just cause I like him. Shame really he never won a slam; he deserved to if anyone. Was shocked to see him blast Verdasco like that, damn.

I'm not looking forward to seeing Fed crying tomorrow; he will you know Win or lose he'll be crying; wonder which makes him cry more? Gonna be funny. I hope he gets it though.

Nadal has pulled out of the pre-Wimby tourny because of his knee; and his uncle is saying Wimby isn't for sure yet. He's got a great game, but the physicality of it isn't conducive to longevity. Would love another Fed/Nadal final though.
