Scoring KDs doesn't guarantee a win but it's a big help... Remember 10-8, 10-7, 10-6 scores... Knockdowns were special boxing experience.... Imagine fans talking PAC knocked down JMM 3 times in round 1, PAC knocked down Hatton 2 times in round 1... Fans will always talk and cherish knockdowns because of the excitement it generates...
.
I think the KD's that keep a guy down are really the ones that keep fans talking. In the Hatton fight the 1st 2 were side notes to Pacs ability to land so easily/often......the last one will be on highlight reels for ages.Basically,If a guy is not hurt badly and the other fighter does not capitalize ....its really just a point.
*Sigh* Im tired of arguing with someone who fails to listen. Im saying that I myself havent watched JMM's latest fights. and oh people always say crap about people who Pac faces. Like Diaz - he wasnt that good ODLH- he was weight drained Hatton- he was a bum and a no good boxer. Its always the case. And im telling yeah im a noob at this thing called boxing and im not trying to make myself knowledgeable. Im just sharing what i know and im not trying to be stuck up like you thinking your like a genius when it comes to boxing analysis.
David Diaz IS a bum
De La Hoya IS shot, and at 147 IS weight drained
and i gave Pacquiao full credit for beating Hatton, i thought Ricky was going to win and Manny pulled off the win, good for him, but with that said, there's no denying that Ricky Hatton is no ring technician, nobody thought that he was going to outbox Pacquiao, and i know plenty about boxing, i'm not new to the sport, i was raised with boxing in my life, so although i don't see eye to eye with everyone, i know what i'm talking about where boxing is concerned, i have Morales' name in my screen name yet i NEVER over-praise any fighter, nor do i jump on bandwagon's like SOME do, good luck with learning more about the sport, but the best way to do it is by learning from fights in the past, and not focusing so much on the present, cause honestly boxing is still strong and still a great sport, but it's nowhere near where it used to be
Pff heck id rather watch WWE than boring boxing matches lol and that says a lot lol not that i wanna get on any debates about wrestling but you get the point. Boxing needs fuel for it to run. I hope it doesnt run out of exciting boxers soon since MMA is still hot off its heels and boxing has to compete with basketball which is usually very popular.
Some of the time you dont know its going to be a 'boring boxing matches' until.....you know.....watch the fight actually unfold ??
Dont worry about the MMA...Boxing has been grappling major headlines for over a century.MMA, while somewhat entertaining is basking in its shadow for the large part.
True... MMA aint THAT popular yet. Besides most people dont like MMA cause its too gory? (Most people i know anyway) They like boxing cause its less gory. but not that much like MMA.
