Roger should buy Soderling a new car or something; at least he paved the way for a Fed victory by getting Nadal out of there. Wimbledon hould be interesting. Nadal might not even play WImby; so maybe Roger can get it and he's still the favorite to win the US Open. He might surpass Pet's record this year.

Boy that bright flame sure burned hot and now has fizzled out; Soderling sure made this a snoozefest. Roger going to take alot of sh#t for beating a "party spoiler" and not getting the title in an epic way. I dn't think Fed cares though; but surely some part of him wishes he could have taken this slam by beating the guy who beat him 4 years in a row. I'm on a tennis forum right now and the Fed haters are out in full force

Once Fed gets rid of this monkey on his back, the record of slams and winning the French, he will be unstoppable and will beat Nadal next year. the guy is class.

Well I diasgree bro'. He didn't get the real monkey off his back as he has to beat Nadal to do that in the final. But I'm glad to see him get this.

I didn't think Nadal would ever lose at Roland Garrios and he probably won't again.

I tipped Nadal for the Frecnh and Federer for Wimbledon. I'm sticking with Fed for Wimbledon

I think thats the only time Federer wins the French, the Nadal defeat was a one off imo, Nadal if he was at the other end today would of beat Federer.

Federer is not the player he once was lets not forget this, the draw opened up amazingly for him and he was left to play a player whose best result coming into this event was a semi final appearance at some shit warm up event for the Aus Open in Jan, add to the that Federer beat him 9 times on the bounce over the years.

This was Federers worst return in trerms of sets dropped in any of his grand slam wins, im happy for him, but a 100% Nadal wipes the floor with Federer on clay and especailly at the French.

Federer has to be favourite for Wimby now especially that Nadal is looking injured but i think its very open alot of players who could go well, Djoko, Murray, Del Potro etc etc.

I think Federer has one or two more slams left in him, i do think he is the best player ever if you look at them years between 2004 and 2007 no other player in history has beaton so many records such as titles in a season time at number one, them 3/4 years he was fucking amazing.
