We will see a much elusive Khan. I dont think he'll engage and come out firing with both guns in early rounds like he did with barrera. He's gonna take out koltenik's legs first by accumulation punches and will finish him off somewhere in late rounds. Khan by tko.

I think if Khan has learned to protect his evidently fragile chin and in the opening couple of rounds, picks his shots right he could do alright, but I expect it will go like this.

RD 1...Amir eases into the fight looking to take advantage of his reach advantage with a steady jab and short quick combinations..Kotelnik looking to stay close and pressureise Amir soaks up most attacks on the gloves, but lands a couple of good left hooks to steal the opener..
    9-10 Kotelnik

RD 2...Amir starts the round brightly, landing a number of good clean strikes and presses Kotelnik who has no real answer to the constant jab that is landing well..
    10-9 Amir

RD 3...Kotelnik looks a little more composed and looks to up his work rate,he rides the jabs, counters and starts to land with a number of good body shots that put Amir on a back foot for the first time ..
    9-10 Kotelnik

RD 4...Khan ups his work rate and starts to throw good strong quick combinations that are starting to hurt Kotelnik, but he in turn finishes the round strongly and catches Khan with a strong right cross that wobbles Amir..
    10-10

RD 5...Amir looks a little dazed and fights of the back foot keeping Kotelnik at bay with a weary jab,but takes no advantage of Khans obvious discomfort.
    10-10

RD 6...Kotelnik attempts to press on to Khan, but he finally looks as though the composure that has eluded him since the beginning of the fourth has returned,he is easily countering and presses Kotelnik back, landing with some punishing shots that are taking their toll on the Ukraine who is floored with a simple left hook right cross combination. He takes the count and holds on until the end of the round..
    10-8 Khan

RD 7...Amir looks to capitalise on the dominance of the 6th round and immediately sets out to press and punish Kotelnik with some of the quickest and cleanest shots that he has thrown and landed in the fight. But the gutsy Champion looks to grab and hold to see him through to the end of the round.
    10-9 Khan

RD 8...A big one for Amir, can he break down the spoil tactics of Kotelnik who is still obviously reeling from the sustained pressure he has been under for the last couple of rounds. He steps up lands a quality right cross that is nailing down the coffin lid on the flagging champions hopes of retaining his title...he throws a sloppy right cross combination, but with his guard lowering with the tiredness from his toughest and finest boxing performance... BANG he is caught with a sweet left hook from the exhausted champion that puts Amir down and cleanly out...Fight over!

    Short & sweet:

Khan gets of to a great start winning the 1st 3 rounds with his speed, Kotelnik shows his experience & comes on strong down the stretch, trailing on the cards Kotelnik shows what the championship rounds are all about putting Khan on the seat of his pants in the 10th & has him holding on at the final bell. The split decision is announced in Khan's favor with Galaxy screaming robbery!!!

Khan takes the first 3 rounds, before Kotelnik comes on strong in 4 & 5, dropping Khan at the end of the 5th. Khan gets back up & goes back to his corner. Roach gives him a talking to & Khan runs for the first half of 6th before slowly gaining control at the end which he carries into the following 2 rounds. In the 9th, Khan unleashes a barrage of punches that have Kotelnik stuck on the ropes & it is stopped for a slightly debatable stoppage, although Jim Watt claims that Kotelnik was on the verge of death.

Khan celebrates & talks about how he will fight anybody talking of a rematch with Prescott or a fight with Bradley. Frank Warren steps in & says 'I really think he can beat Tim Bradley, it's about creating a legacy though' after which a few days go by & Warren is in negotiations with Dimitriy Salita for Khan's next fight at the MEN.

So your also confident of Kahns progress then Jaz. Ha. This really is going to be interesting, but only for one person. Its interesting purely to watch how kahn gets on. If Kotelnik wins or loses, what does he gain. Nothing.

What happened to the sig Jaz?

Fenster's "somewhere about the neck" had me chuckling.
