Ortiz is a southpaw pressure fighter with vicious power from what i've seen.

I haven't seen too much on him either to be honest though.

The one punch kayo he delivered to Mighty Mike Arnoutis is enough proof that Ortiz is the real deal. I'd say outside of PAC he is the legitimate monster at 140. With his frame I think he moves up to welter.

One punch Kayo? I don't think you watched the fight. He did back Mighty Mike into the corner and unload a flurry caught him a few times good, but the ref waved it off with Arnoutis on his feet.

I think Ortiz would be far too much for Bradley. Bradley has one aspect the he is exceptional in and that's heart, but heart alone will not sway the tide that is Ortiz.

Greg what I think he meant was that it would have been a one punch kayo of anyone but Mighty Mike. I mean, lets be honest here, Mike is made of something that most other fighters just don't have.

Ortiz is more of offensive guy. But imo, Bradley would win by a hard earn decision.

    bradley for me

ortiz is probably the slicker mover but the punch resistance is there with bradley and he`d probably just be a bit too strong for ortiz.

Well to be honest i dont see why Ortiz is rated so high mean record is not that great and people are saying he some kinda of monster dont get it. I mean Bradley has a hell of chin good, good stamina and speed him self. Not to mention he has beat better comp then Ortiz has i just dont understand why he so underrated on this forum to tell you the truth. As for Ortiz moving up to welterweight he would get crushed by Cotto, Mosely, and if he come back probable Margarito to i am guessing.

He is considered a monster because of his performances in the ring. Can't think of too many other 22 year olds that have fought as good of competition as he has. I think people on here rate Bradley very highly, as a matter of fact he is rated #2 at 140 right behind PAC (who earned that by removing Hatton from his throne.) Ortiz has not yet cracked the top 10. But based on how he handles himself in the ring, I fully expect him to jump on that list very soon.

You have me intrigued about this Ortiz, he must be very good if some of you think he can actually stop Bradley.

IMO Ortiz is gonna be like Cotto, be good at 140, then move up to 147 to be great, he's strong, brutal power, tough, and a big 140 lb fighter, but with that said, the Arnaoutis "win" was a fluke

The reason people like Victor Ortiz is because he has a lot more talent than Bradley, he had a great amateur career, he's been very impressive as a pro. Only Timothy's last three opponents have been very strong, and IMO they aren't anywhere near as good as Victor Ortiz, Witter is way overrated he has a incredible speed, but terrible form. Holt would have been ko'ed twice by Ricardo Torres if he hadn't headbutted Torres in their second fight.

Pugilistic see-saw on this one.Ortiz looks the part of a man on a mission progressing at a rapid rate on track for Championship status.Has received massive exposure and great promotion after some rocky moments outside of the ring and has done so in impressive, definitive fashion.Personally I believe their are a couple of guys in our ranking that I'd favor him over.Namely Torres and Ngoudjo. He is very explosive and if/when he gets a guy hurt,Its curtains .The blitzing of Mighty Mike put him at the forefront and others on notice. This would be a great scrap but first and foremost for the young Ortiz is what may be a decent quiz when he fights Maidana.I like this kid alot. And he 'looks the goods'.

But......and there is always a but.I'm going with Bradley. To me....It comes down to all around professional experience and rounds traveled.I think Ortiz is in need of rounds.Save for a 10 round drubbing of somewhat spent shell casing Emmanuel Clottey,he has not really had to trudge through the trenches in a late round affair against a sturdy, well honed top notch caliber fighter like Bradley.Hes not fighting utter tomato cans but hes also not fighting world beaters.Of course you cannot fault a guy for knocking his opposition flat on their respected wallets early in a fight. But I have to go with the late round experience here.Bradley is one that does not do a single thing in spectacular fashion.....but he does most if not all in good order. His chin is solid, more importantly is is mental make-up as when he rose off the deck from The Holt KD.Two big factors will be Ortizs southpaw approach and his guaranteed early onslaught against a Bradley. But I think Bradleys work rate, conditioning and fresh off of three straight wins over very solid opposition on the big stage have me leaning his way over the distance.Coffee x 2.
