It's not the type of thing I would probably say either. But then I haven't really experienced the things Tyson has. Especially the media post jail! The context of the quote might go someway to explaining Tyson's choice of words too. Taken on their own the words don't look good, but I don't know whether words were put in his mouth or if he was simply reacting from a whole heap of bad interviews. It doesn't sound like a confession though.
What is the evidence to say he raped her? I don't think there was a whole lot going on what I have heard of the case.
In some countries, under circumstances similar to those in the Tyson vs Washington "rape" case, it will be extremely difficult to get a guilty verdict.
With "a" victim severely bruised and battered, there might be a chance, otherwise even "pro bono" lawyers can, without much effort, get the defendant a not guilty verdict.
Come on gentlemen, Tyson was ripe to be the poster child for... "too much, too soon", when celebrities gone wayward!
Everybody without agendas nor bias can filter that... easy.

who really gives a shit, only 3 know what really happened, the fighter, the beauty queen, and god, if he really did rape her, well, he did his time already, move on
In his own mind, I'm sure he did nothing wrong. According to the letter of the law, no means no and all that, then maybe he did. Maybe she was going for it, had second thoughts at the last minute, and he wasn't exactly in the mood to listen. Under the law, she is not obligated to put up a fight.
But like the terrible one says, who knows for sure.
I have no idea if he did or didn't and have never even really given it a lot of thought. I will say that him being angry at her still doesn't mean a whole lot in relation to his guilt or innocence IMO.
In 2003 there was a special about this case that a former prosecutor commented much on. I was in the middle until I saw this special and I was appalled. The former prosecutor said no way there should have been a conviction and most of Tyson's evidence was not admitted in court. Not admissible: the fact that they agreed to get together at a hotel later, he called her at 2:30am and she agreed to come to the hotel, she laid in bed with him and made out then went to the bathroom took out her tampon and got back in bed with him, she did ask him to walk her out after sex, she said she was a virgin even during the trial but she lost her virginity to an ex-boyfriend who she also accused of raping her because she didn't want to face her strict father, she had an agreement with her lawyer for a 50/50 split of suing for an amount of $2million if they got a conviction, and also the 911 call. She waited a day to not go to the police station but call 911. And they wouldn't play the 911 call in court. The 911 call itself was unbelievable. Even the former prosecutor said knowing all this information only after the trial would be like handcuffing the defendant before the trial. Wanting something and making sure it happened.
In my opinion Tyson was made an example of, celebritys and athletes think they can get away with all sorts of shit... doesn't mean he did was guilty though, but they wanted to make an example and send a message out.
and fuck Dony King for not even getting him a proper Laywer, the conviction hasn't exactly done Tyson any favours or helped his life... how many millions did he have available to get him the right laywer? He gave the case to his mate... I forget exactly but he was primarily an accountent or some shit... I think he'd passed the bar test and done a few cases... none of them that big and none of them sexual assualt or anything close.
Yeah, but come on... he's well aware that he was convicted of rape... and that's what the public see him as. It's probably not very comfortable for him to talk about in the first place, he's not going to go into the finer points of it.
It's amazing how many women leave it till after the 'last minute' to change the mind!
it's no good getting fucked and then feeling guilty/a whore or what ever goes through freaks like her's heads afterwards and deciding that because you have now decided that you didn't want to that you were raped.
Hindsight seems to count for shit in life, except when women get innocent men done for rape.
Only the two of them.
I highly suspect that she went expecting some amazing night of passion and after the reality had sat in that she'd just been bashed around the matress by Tyson she decided that she had been raped.
That's if it wasn't all about getting her hands on some green of course.
