Well, I'm hoping Clottey upsets the odds & batters the shit out of him, however, this is really Cotto's chance to show he's over the Margarito loss. Jennings didn't prove anything to me.

I am a huge Clottey fan and fully expect him to take the piss out of Cotto bringing him to the deep dark cold waters of the fight and having Cotto relive some more of the anguish and mental pain that Margarito inflicted on him.
Clottey late TKO or UD and it wouldnt be an upset IMO.. Clottey is the real deal
Yeah i agree.
His Career hasn't quite been what it should, but that wont affect him against Cotto.
I just worry because it seems everyone is thinking about Cotto... Will he fight? Will he box? Will he wilt under pressure? Won't he?
I just wonder if Clottey has the aptitude to get the tactics right and have all the angles covered rather than assuming Cotto will fold, or Cotto isn't tough enough etc...
about as much chance as pac had beating de la hoya before hand.

Clottey has a great chance i wouldnt be surprissed if he won.We dont know what Margarito took out of Cotto has he got over that beat down he took late on in the fight. He has changed trainers.Clottey is a handfull for anyone when they bring there A game. If Cotto has any demons still i think Clottey will take full advantage off this and get the biggest win of his career. If the real Cotto shows up i slightly lean towards him winning a very narrow points win.
Cotto seems to be esentially training himself for this one. If you're a fan of his, youre hoping thats not true and he has someone in his corner that could really bring some insight and that could take him to the next level. Since the discord amongst him and his trainer, things have been realtively quiet aside from the press tour and the public workouts etc.
I think Clotteys training hard for this one and has a good chance. Theres two things that I see playing possible major factors in this fight. Clottey likes to keep his hands high and thats a wet dream for a Cotto thats looking to work the body....
...The other is the Clottey uppercut that busted Judah open. (Ok Zabs skins seems about as durable as wet paper these days...) but still.. It was a uppercut on the inside --where Cotto often likes to set up camp. Cotto couldnt see the margarito uppercuts coming with a crystal ball and a ouija board. If Clotteys smart, hes worked on mixing in that uppercut a lot more often for this fight. Cotto at this point is gambling on the fact that Clotteys punch output is hindered by Clottey working out of the gaurd so much ...and that he'll be able to get Clottey into his shell by flicking the jab and then being able to work clotteys ribs uninterrupted.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

I think Clottey has a decent chance.
Cotto will do well to stop him.
I highly doubt Clottey will get it on the cards, but maybe if Cotto gets taken into a hard one the Margarito fight will show it's damage.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Clottey is a big strong welter, with an iron chin and a lot of heart. He can do a Marg and win but Cotto needs to stick to boxing and see if the body shots cause damage. I cannot see Cotto stopping Clottey but outpointing him yes.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Unless Cotto is damaged goods, Clottey is not stopping him.
he couldn't stop a shot overweight Chico, He ain't stopping Cotto.
Clottey has a great chance to win with his defense, pressure, short inside shots and lead right hand.
I expect this fight to go the distance with Cotto winning a competitive but clear decision.
JT have you ever seen Joshua Clottey vs Richard Gutierrez ? because if i was a big Joshua Clottey fan like you, i'd be worried about that fight. Because he was pretty easy to hit too the body, and he only just about won a decision. Sorry but Joshua Clottey is too hot and cold with a suspect mentality to be picked over Miguel Cotto IMO.
you forget that Cotto was smashed to pieces and beaten into submission in one of the brutalist title fights in this era. Beating feather fisted Michael Jennings proved nothing! Cotto is in with a big guy and underrated boxer who is capable of putting a hurtin on him. My money is with Clottey
Having a good defense, a good chin, the faster hands, the size and reach advantages could be enough for Clottey to defeat Cotto...
I'm afraid that several flush shots landing and hurting Cotto will bring back memories of the bad beating he got from Margacheato... Cotto might take a knee again, this time infront of Clottey...
