    At an indoor pool in Britain, I'm afraid you might not see fine girls in bikinis, but probably school groups & middle-aged to elderly ladies out for a swim

    Same holds true here. Last year I worked at overcoming my fear of water by going to the YMCA and swimming. Prob. 90% of the people in the pool were over 60, and largely female. I told them what I was doing. Was kinda cute, and humbling, "Don't be such a chicken shit, sonny, come to the deep end."

    It did help tho.
