And he still hurt his left knee from being thrown down. The ref saw straight through him. And I supposed Clottey stopped throwing the jab and the left hook after that because his knee was fine? He wasn't putting it on you can't fake a stoppage of offense and nearly falling down whenever you tried to push forward on your left. If that was true then Clottey should win an Oscar
It wasn't the biggest factor in the fight so i'm prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt. If it was hurt he did well to recover because Clottey did well in rounds 8,9 and 10 and seemed to have no trouble coming forward.
yeah but he had stopped setting stuff up with his jab and his left hook and thats what made him effective early, he was setting Cotto up with the jab and left hook, after being thrown down if he tried to start it off he came off balance and he only ran in with combinations, he wasn't trying to set stuff up anymore and that was a huge factor. After that point Clottey was looking to corner on Cotto and throw combinations. But he had stopped setting things up with the jab and left hook which are his money punches. So hurting his left knee was a huge factor as you could make the argument after he was thrown down the jab and left hook set ups disappeared
