If the fight had been outright canceled I would suspect Floyd was faking, especially convienently coming less than 24 hours after Miguel Cotto looking extremely suspect and vulnerable, but simply being postponed means we're all just sh!t out of luck this year with fights.

I'm with you MOD Ouma... PBF faking an injury due to the slow sales of the tickets and PPVs.... If PBF broke/injured his ribs then I want to know who the sparring partner who inflicted that injury??

The Los Angeles Times has this report:

"The fight, which was to be shown on HBO pay-per-view, was already suffering at the box office, where it was not attracting the same action as Mayweather's earlier fights with Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya. And the delay almost certainly takes the Mayweather-Marquez winner out of the conversation for Manny Pacquiao's next fight. Pacquiao was ringside at Madison Square Garden on Saturday to watch Miguel Cotto's split-decision victory over Joshua Clottey and was to meet with his team Sunday to discuss his next bout, with potential opponents now likely narrowed to Cotto and Shane Moseley."

I was kidding but hell I guess anything's possible. He's probably hurt, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt like I did Haye.

it has been announced on RDS.Ca too, looks true. As long as it's not a broken rib, the postponement can be relatively short if HBO has some free space for it, if it's broken, however.... that's all another story. Hopefully it won't be much worst than a month or something otherwise it'll be the summer of all bummers.

Seriously?? Man you guys kill me some times. Floyd is being accused of bottling it now? For all that Floyd is outside the ring he has an impeccable track record of professionalism inside of it.

PBF's been shook up ever since the Bill Curtis incident. Yup, definately stalling. Definately scared.

I pretty I'm gonna get neg reps for this but here's my conspiracy theory. I think Mayweather wants to cancel his fight with Marquez and face Cotto instead. Reason being is Cotto is no longer the same fighter and Mayweather strongly believe that he can take Cotto out now.

Memo to boxers, don't postpone a fight because of injury, nobody on saddo will ever believe you Ruslan Chagaev should be public enemy number one on here.

people do get hurt now and then

if he pulled out of the JMM fight and made a new one he'd get loads of shit for it and rightfully so, seriously doubt that will happen. Then again he did contemplate a Hatton rematch Nah I seriously doubt that.

I really think PBF is faking an injury to postpone the fight but actually PBF wants to postpone/cancel the JMM fight due to the slow sales of tickets/PPVs...

I thought about the possible postponement/cancellation of PBF-JMM fight as early as June 4, 2009 when the slow ticket sales was discussed on another thread...

problem is Cotto and Pacquiao are both from top rank....Arum would rather that they dance together and leave floyd in the cold...

Wow some of you are so full of conspiracy bullshit, that it makes me sick. Can't fighters get injured in training? Have you ever trained hard for a fight? If so you would know that most fighters go into fights injured, and that there is a likely of the eventuality of a guy actually getting hurt bad enough not to fight.
