I want to know who tagged him in sparring, so that I can send him some flowers, and a thank you.![]()
Just kidding JT.![]()
This is frustrating, with all this catchweight stuff, people waiting for other fights, other fights be delayed, fights be called due to cuts, etc. I guess just cause I've only really started getting into boxing over these past few years, but it does tend to be frustrating
Does this seem to be a bit excessive this year??
Here's my theory.....
Ticket sales sucked. Mayweather is co-promoting it, and thus wouldn't get as much money as he needs, and wants. Thus, gets injured, postpones the fight, and they reschedule it for the weekend of Mexican Indepedence Day in September. A weekend with a history of a big turn out for big fights. Right now, there is no big fight scheduled for that weekend, so move it to a date where they hopefully will get better sales. This is a guess of course, but we'll see.![]()

Two days after the tickets for Mayweather vs Marquez were up for sale,
an insider source posted this in Pacland...."The fight will either be postponed or cancelled due to poor ticket sales, the usual main sponsors are shying away, and even MGM Grand which normally purchases tickets in advance for their hotel guests hasn't purchased a single ticket.....The post then continues...."Expect within a couple of days for an announcement from GBP that the fight will be postponed and the reason or excuse that will be given is that one of the fighters is injured....So here we are!
Here's the real score Ms. Diane...
"The awesome show of respect given by 17,000 Puerto Ricans to Pinoy Idol Manny Pacquiao just before the Clottey-Cotto WBO welterweight title bout started at the Garden so shocked Mayweather, watching at home in Vegas, that he fell off his couch and landed on his ribs..."
joke joke ...
