Arum is right. Btw, It was Calderon himself who said he wants to fight Floyd next because he loves to pick on small fighters. Arum was just kinda repeating what Calderon said.
...perhaps and this is just a guess mind you. Perhaps Arum was goading Floyd because PBF has ALWAYS been in Bob Arum/Top Rank/Miguel Cotto's crosshair's.
I think a Cotto-Pacquiao fight would be bad for Manny because unlike Ricky, Miguel has done well with southpaws AND Miguel is not totally shot and he's just plain not afraid to get hit.
Of those mentioned, ODLH is the only opponent that was bigger than Floyd. Baldomir wasn't the bigger man. Floyd had almost 2 inches in height on him and 4 inches in reach. Gatti wasn't bigger than Floyd either - Floyd was taller and had more reach than Gatti. Since he has been at 147, he has fought ODLH and Hatton and now Marquez.

And to what advantage did that extra weight serve BaldomirMore power? Strength
Stamina
I didn't see any advantage.....I mean Monte Barrett destroyed Tye Fields and Ray Mercer just walloped Tim Sylvia and Monte and Ray were the smaller guys.....at some point TALENT plays a role.
Who has fought the more talents fighters? Floyd has had every opportunity to fight anyone he wanted to but has he taken advantageSURE He's taken advantage of fighting the Sharmba Mitchell's, Arturo Gatti's, and the Carlos Baldomir's of 147 and the surrounding divisions
The madness will never stop, they will be waking floyd up in bed at a retirement home years from now and people will still brag about how thier 22 year old fighter will kick floyds 82 year old ass, and the internet will light up with agreement. Shit if they hyped it just a little bit they probably could get a ton of cash out of pepole's pockets beliving calderon could really beat him. Some fans want him to loose that bad. Kinda sad.

you know what guys.....i think cotto maybe one stop away from a spent force, he hasnt seem quite the same in his last two fights, over the last 2 days i've re-watched some of his past fights ( judah, pinto, toures, mosley, alfonso, margarito ) then i watched the jennings and clottey.............and he doesnt seem the same, seems to have lost some speed and reaction time since the margarito fight.......he seems somewhat.....worn out a bit...i hope its not permanent and they can get of the train and go back the other way, i'm a huge fan of his but at this moment he seems gone somewhat
Height and reach, first and foremost. Second, Hatton was a career 140 man. Mayweather started at a lighter weight but was fighting at 147 when he fought Hatton. Honestly, I've never heard anyone argue that Hatton was a bigger man than Mayweather. It sure didn't look that way in the ring. And if that is the case, he must have been a goliath compared with Pacquiao.
Does Bob Arum think we are that stupid? yes!
Paul Williams has a significant reach & height advantage over Mike Tyson, who's the bigger man? I thought Hatton did look bigger than Mayweather in the ring, he certainly looked more muscled, the difference with the Pac fight was Hatton looked far more skeletal than usual on the scales the previous night & didn't look to have re-hydrated as well as he had after the PBF weigh-in.
Arum is playing mind games with Mayweather and some of it is bitter payback and some if it is to negotiate better terms so that he can profit from the Pac v Mayweather fight.
