The older Jackie Chan films like Police Story 1 and 2, Project A and Wheels on Meals had some of the best fight scenes EVER, the playground scene in Police Story 2 is one of my favourites also the castle fight scenes in Wheels on Meals, amazing work!

Kel, I read in the Jackie Chan autobiography (yup, I was that big of a fan!). He said him and Benny Urquidez, the guy he fought at the end of Wheels on Meals and Dragons Forever, had so much chemistry together fight-wise that some of the fights weren't completely choreographed. The director just let them go and they just pulled their punches.
Have you seen the factory scene in Dragons Forever? Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao just rocking everyone in their way! Classic!

No subtitles but you don't need to know what the hell they're saying anyway.
The playground scene in Police Story 2 is sick! I like the fight in the mall in Police Story 1. So violent!

The 3 bourne films have to be up there.
Blood Diamond is also worth a mention.
Agree on the Bourne Films, but Blood Diamond an action film?? It had a bit more to it for it to be labelled an action film.
You should watch JCVD, Van Damme's acting is actually pretty damn good in that, I think in the older films you just didn't have workable scripts or directors who cared about anything other than the fight scenes.Sad but true. I really never could figure out the Van Damme love; his acting was horrible most of the time and the fight scenes were so amateurish as to be absurd. I did like Kickboxer though, good story; Tong Po was scaryThat scene of him kicing the tree over and over was great. And Double Impact was actually very original with storyline and he did good in that. Bloodsport in concept was great but too bad they couldn't have found someone else to play the role, guess there wasn't anyone else.
Amazed that no-one has mentioned the 'Cage Classics' of the mid 90s, The Rock, Con Air & Face/Off
Another one of my favourite Van Damme films that i grew up watching as a kid back in the 80s.Van Damme was my hero as well as Arnie

Dragons Forever was the last of a string of films made by "The Three Dragons" (Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, and Yuen Biao). Project A, Wheels on Meals, and Dragons Forever was made in that string of films and they were three of my favorite Chan movies ever made. The movie itself started out really slow but then midway through til the end was just amazing action scene after another. Also, it's the only movie where you'll see the three guys fight each other in a battle royale.
Wheels on Meals was the first Jackie Chan film I ever watched and is still to this day my favorite one ever!
Wow! Action Jackson! Apollo Creed as the main protagonist!
