Mosley agreed to all Mannys and Roaches terms but still they both decided to fight Cotto instead. Who can blame Pacman for going for the easier fight I spose I just hope that Cotto KOs his arse.
I think Shane looked too good in beating Margarito and it has left him out in the cold with only a possible fight with the freak that is Williams (which I dont blame anyone not wanting to fight with his reach and punch output) and Clottey who is a dangerous fight but for little reward in imop.
    totally agree

PBF should be fighting Mosely, not Marquez. Mosely would beat Pacquiao and PBF in my opinion. He is the class at 147, which is more the reason why Pacquiao should beat the rest before taking the biggest risk. Wait for age to catch up with Shane a little bit.

Mosely deserves a big pay day, but at the end of the day if it don't make dollas' then it don't make cents'. A fight with Cotto is a bigger fight financially and is less risky. Thus, there is no reason to fight Mosely with Cotto available. Cotto, like Pacquiao, is also managed by Top Rank, which means that fight makes more money for Arum. Additionally, Cotto beat Mosely.

And the Cotto fight is no easy fight by any means. It was agreed to be at 145 from what I understand, which Cotto can easily make. Cotto has fought the best welterweights in the business and has a near impeccable CV.

Also, after brutally destroying Hatton, absolutely crushing him and probably sending him into retirement, and making ODLH quit on his stool, Pacquiao deserves to take any fight he wants right now.

I'd give Pacquiao credit for fighting any of the top welters with belts and would pay money to watch any of them. It makes sense for him to take the biggest money available. I think Cotto brings more money than Mosely, but I'm no expert on this by any means.

I would love to see it but like other people have said in this thread, Mosley is more dangerous at this point than Cotto, who showed alot of vulnerability in the Clottey fight. Mosley has an iron chin and Roach probably feels that it will be along night if and when they decide to take on Sugar. Where Cotto is starting show alot more wear and tear as of late. I think most ranked Welters are hoping that father time catches up to Mosley and are going to avoid him as long as they possibly can.

It's a never ending story of the excuses. Mosley lost to Cotto, so logically it makes more sense for him to fight Cotto.

And Cotto got torn up against Margarito (the same guy that Mosley outboxed, out fought and generally just schooled) and then struggled to win convincingly against Clottey...

So really I think logic can go out the window...

If it were a round robin tournament, I'd agree but basically I'm only comparing Mosley and Cotto. Margacheato is not in the picture.

Yeah but my point is that Pac's team must know that Cottos is more flawed/vunerable than Mosley, hence taking cottos instead.

One thing that Cotto will have going for him is that Pac's team won't find it as easy to weight drain Cotto (on paper at least anyway) as with Oscar/the attempt at Mosley, he's not as big in the first place and isn't that long removed from 140.

People are tripping saying Mosley is a big risk low reward. Mosley is a big risk and a big reward. Pac would get the percentage he was looking for and money still along the lines of a Cotto fight. And Mosley is THE welterweight champ right now. Beating him is a much bigger reward than beating Cotto. It would be historical. A lot of people already see Pac beating Cotto. Very very few against Mosley. So the real problem is that Mosley is a big reward but way too big of a risk. It would knock off a lot of Pac's marketability if he got blown out. The other fights would then be less eventful. Mosley and Williams are the "stay away" welterweights for Pac. And Roach knows it.
