CHF. It's not just about fame and personal glory. Almost zero crime in the Philippines everytime Manny fights. AFP and rebels ceasefires every Pac fight.

Manny gives more than half of his earning to the unfortunate ones. He buys expensive tools for cancer cure, dialysis machines, etc. and donate them to local hospitals.

I'm not a church goer myself. But there's a lot of reasons why god should be helping Manny.

I sure wonder who goes broke first? Floyd or Manny after their careers are over?

I can see Pacman being an casino greeter in Vegas after his career is over. And I can see Floyd trying to train fighters like his dad after he blows all his money.

He cried unabashedly towards the end of a Chino Trinidad (together with Quinito Henson, provided the voice for the Filipino crew covering Manny Pacquiao's international bouts) post fight interview after getting a split draw in his match against Juan Manuel Marquez 1.

It was tears of dejectment from Pacquiao. He mistakenly perceived that the result of the fight, having been a draw, could potentially dishearten his loyal following to an extent unacceptable to the regard that he burdens himself with. Mistakenly because, it was indeed a fight worthy of praise. A drawn conclusion from a FOTY nominee is not something to be ashamed of. The PacMan... his goals are lofty indeed!

To others, a sub performance or a sub result is met with a shrug of the shoulder and a pithy excuse, but to the PacMan it was not nearly enough, for he considered his performance in that fight, an affront to "his" accepted level of competence.

These somewhat "setbacks", fuels his inner desire to come back even stronger and even more well-equipped skill wise and etc... to face and hurdle the impediments halting his aspirations for being the very best.

This desire is maybe an ingredient to the dedication that legends are probably made of. Anyone can have the skill, the courage, and the intangibles necessary to succeed. However to be a legend... is entirely something else. Those mentioned are ingredients, but not only, of those that legendary status can be made of.

Legendary is of mythic proportions that no living person, with exception to a few, cannot savor during his or her lifetime or active life at the least.

    Pacquiao a legend... No!

The socks incident, the winning gloves, the body shot knockouts he suffered.... as incidents already in the past, maybe! Anything with him underachieving is legendary? ...Maybe. LOL!
