Default Who Do I Root For ?

JMM or Floyd Mayweather Jr ? there two of my favorite fighters, and im finding it very hard who too root for. In a way i was glad the fight was called off, so i didn't have to see a loser, but now its back on im hoping its a draw

It's a no brainer for me, Marquez.

I would love to see a humble, brilliant boxer, who doesn't run from the tough challenges in his own division to win, rather than a jacka$$. And I would rather see Marquez get the big money fights after this win, than Mayweather.

Think about it this way too, if Mayweather wins, it will be, oh well he won another fight that he was expected to win, no big deal, but think about the buzz that would be created for boxing if Marquez wins.

Yeh agreed mate - I would love to see JMM win, but PBF winning is better for boxing imo

I am not calling you out specifically, but the more articles I read the more I hear people (including Pac Man's) talking about Manny meeting Mayweather next year. It's almost (almost) like they are already looking past the soon to be Cotto fight. If Cotto beats Pac Man, then Cotto deserves a shot at Floyd. That should be the fight that is made next year. This is a fight that should have been made long ago.

It would be obscene to cheer for Floyd if you like both equal.

Floyd is a BIG favourite. He picked Marquez for his comeback because he sees him as easy pickings (top money).

Which is why people should root for Marquez.

I'm just waiting for either fighter to begin showing their age....I actually thought I saw a little of that in JMM's last fight but smarts out thought youth and won.

Marquez every day of the week. But I think the weight and the years will have him a step behind.Respect Mayweathers skills but all this talk of A Pac mega event? Did Boxing really do all that bad in Mayweathers absence.

Floyd won a lot of people over the way he acted so sportsmanlike after the hatton fight but is still your typical african american sportsman up their own arse cocky c**t that needs a slap.

JMM is just an out an out animal in the ring and gives the fans exactly what the want...

no brainer unless youve got a few quid on floyd....marquez all the way
    one dangerous horrible bloke

Yes.. Marquez being hurt early by a light-hitter was a worrying sign.

He better hope Floyd shows his age in this fight. I'm sure Floyd could stop him if he wanted considering the size advantages he has.

You should always go with the underdog in mismatches like this. Floyd is so unlikeable and is often quite tedious and boring....both in and out of the ring. Marquez is a great boxer to watch and seems like a decent chap too.

    It can only be Marquez.

nobody is going to lose sleep if Floyd has to face Cotto though, its still a really good fight. IMO Marquez's style works against a pure boxer who is bigger than him like Mayweather, but I can't see his style being effective against Cotto, he doesn't have the mentality to not get hit, and there is no way Marquez could go to war with Cotto. I think Manny has the speed and uses it effectively enough to handle Cotto, but thats just my opinion, I think Cotto is still very dangerous for him. I also think Mayweather brings more to the table against both Pacquiao and Cotto, not that he will do better than Marquez against them(though I think he will), but because he's a much bigger star than Marquez, and neither Manny or Miguel have faced him before.
