I think he is looking at a mandatory 10 years....They already gave him a chance, he has everything going for him and he still got involved in two separate instances with guns........

It all depends how good a lawyer Oscar is willing to get him. He's already plead guilty which will count in his favour & let's face it money always talks in this situation. But then I dunno Texas that well, I heard you're pretty harsh on this there right Legion?
I've never been in trouble with the law; but I have friends who have; for less than Kirkland and still did alot of time. But there are other, more harsh states. My cousin did armed robbery in Arizona in 84', 1st offense, turned himself in, and commited the crime with a toy gunStill got 14 years and served every day.
Still; like GB said, it's serious and Kirkland is fukked. But just cause' these guys are rising stars; they still live in or around those bad places they grew up in; and jealousy sometimes causes guys to carry carry heat because you just never know; like famous football or basketball players get busted for, because jealous people don't like sometimes when people succeed. Part of me feels for James K.; part of me says what a dumbass.
Yeah, I get that, it's very similar in the area I live in over here. There's an actor, at the time rapper, from where I grew up called Ashley Walters who got done for the same thing because he was carrying a snub with him everywhere. He only did about 2-3 years though. Then again, when I see the amount of rappers who get caught for this over there & still walk pretty much free, he may be alright. T.I. got caught buying a small armoury whilst violating his parole & yet only ends up doing a year in minimum security. If Kirkland got the same luck, a year out isn't career ending.
IF he gets a sentence like that, he should consider himself blessed. And actually it could help his career in some ways; depending on how one looks at it; mostly how he looks at it and deals with the situation. He better learn some Shakespeare while he's awaiting his trial, and try to put on an Academy Awards performance for the judge; but I'd bet he's going down for a while.![]()
This is happening in a country where Dante stallworth killed a dude and got 30 days so anything is possible. Cash truly does rule everything, so it all depends on how much he has or how much someone is willing to loan him.

A guy in Vegas pleaded guilty to the same charges and got 2 years.
I don't know how the court system works over there but over here you only serve half your sentence.
Those are different states people. Different states harsher laws. Texas is no joke when it comes to the law. If you commit a crime, don't do it in Texas.
