this week that Ricky Hatton still has serious interest in Juan Manuel Marquez as an opponent should he return to boxing. Gomez also said that Hatton has told Richard Schaefer that if he does return, he wants to do so with a big fight, which doesn't match the type of names that have been mentioned in rumor for a supposed November Hatton return.

I think it's a bad idea, if he really wants to fight again, why not rematch Collazo? I seriously don't think Hatton will get back in the ring though, especially against JMM.

I think Hatton has also lost his main value in the big fights the British money, if he only sold 300k ppv in the Uk against Pac imagine the numbers against JMM a fighter not as popular and this after the last time the uk public bought the PPV it lasted a full 6 minutes.

Hattons days are numbered in fighting big HBO main events on ppv.

Its all very well for Hatton to say he wants the only p4p fighter who hasnt kncoked him out yet just cuz Hatton can sell tickets but if Marquez were to beat Floyd he would be in the best position a fighter could be in. A 3rd fight with Pac would be the next logical step. Im sure Floyd would try and arrange a return and theres Cotto and Mosley wanting shots too. Hatton wont get a look in cuz hes been knocked out by the guys Marquez made his name against
