Does Lyle really think 60,000 went to see Wladimir Bitchsko fight? Come on. The original opponent was David Haye, that's why and is the only reason why people bought tickets, they seen his name on it.

Why do you think people were leaving Madison Square Garden at round 9 of "The Unification" Bitchsko v Ibragimov fight ? Don't make me laugh Lyle.

Well actually yeah, the Klitscko are extremely popular in GERmany, I can certify you that, I live in Luxembourg and most of my german friends (living 30 minutes away in Germany) aren't boxing fans but when the ukrenians are fighting and they are aware of it, they always go for a look. There is also at least 2 commercials that I am aware where they played in Germany too, so yeah, they didn't come for Haye but for Wlad or Vitali, seriously. Sorry Leftylee but on that one, I have to go with Lyle.

They may be popluar but answer me this. You think if Bitchsko v Chagaev was the fight all along and Haye was out the picture, you think 60,000 tickets would have still been sold ?

    Not a chance in hell.

honestly? I am certain it would be close; Instead of paying hoping Haye would get killed, they would have promoted the fight with something like "the toughest challenge of Wlad for the past couple of years" or a line like that (that we agree or not on the case can be discussed but shocklines like that work) and peoples would want to see Wlad against the real deal. I am sure that the hairy freak would sell a lot too because peoples want to get him smacked.

Now a question for you: NOw that Haye acted like a dick and that we've all seen that even in his late 20, his balls are still not down, do you think that the chance that he'll sell anything outside England are good now?

OK so lefty when and IF David Haye fights Nicolay Valuev he is going to fight infront of more than 60,000 fans AND get a 58 share on TV in England.

Adam, I'm sorry if my rants bother you but the David Haye fan club has done nothing but b.i.t.c.h about Wlad and Vitali while hyping their guy that has accomplished what What has David Haye done that other heavyweights can't do? KO Monte Barrett? KO Tomaz Bonnin? Talk a bunch of shit and never attempt to back it up The TRUTH is that Wlad and Vitali are the dominant fighters in the heavyweight division and David Haye has done fuck all....I don't care about cruiserweight, I don't give a flying fuck about Enzo Maccarinelli or Jean Marc Mormek or whoever else people assume adds credibility to David Haye's resume because it means 0 at heavyweight. You guys can cry and complain about "Haye is World Class at heavyweight" all you want to but #1 Cruiserweight means NOTHING because the limit for cruiser is 200 and heavyweight has no ceiling, if this fight with Valuev goes through David Haye will be giving up 100 pounds, sure it's vs someone who isn't the most skilled fighter in the world #2 the FACT there have been very few successful cruiserweights who matched their success at heavyweight should mean something to you fanboys, it should tell you that David Haye can be an all-star at cruiserweight and then ammount to jack squat at heavyweight, other than Evander Holyfield cruiserweight hasn't produced anyone of note #3 "World Class" boxers don't act like David Haye, they don't talk nonstop trash and then tuck tail and run. And to dismiss everything the Klitschko's do as boring or unimpressive is ridiculous, it's haterism, and I am telling you DON'T HATE, APPRECIATE.

Lyle does seem to be a bit obsessed. I thought I disliked Amir Khan but it has nothing on this. But to be fair, Lyle has a lot of decent points. It's just funny seeing someone on a mission.

To be honest I think that Haye is a lazy pro who uses his mouth more than his fists. He should really stop gabbing and just get in the ring. Which it seems there is the chance of actually happening.

I am a David Haye fan and will say a lot of the points Lyle makes about Haye moving from Cruiser to Heavy are spot on.

Haye does have to prove himself at Hw but just to throw something into the mix he did stop Barrett quicker than 2 current Heavyweight champs (Haye in 5, Valuev in 11 and Wlad in 7).

As for Wlad his fights are not generally edge of the seat stuff but as a pure boxing fan you would appreciate the controlling the distance, using the jab, softening up the opponent and then finishing them later on.

That style actually works well in Germany where boxing is an occasion and night out not just a fight to see someone get sparked.

Having said all of this, no matter what you say about Haye, when he actually fights, he is never in a boring fight (negative Belguim bloke apart).

His stock would improve if he fought more often and racked up some significant wins in the Hw division.

Hopefully this starts in Nov where he will be 2 quick for Valuev.

David Haye - WBA champ in waiting so long as Ruiz does not get his way and Haye actually turns up.
Tip of the month: Protect yourselves at all times. You never know when the scheming bitch will come back for more.

Thank you for accepting some of the points of my argument Bukom.

While, yes David Haye did stop Monte Barrett in 5 rounds he stopped a 2008 Monte Barrett and not the 2000 Monte Barrett that Wlad demolished. As for Valuev, he isn't a power puncher, he has a KO percentage of around 68%....might be higher if his hands weren't slow and if he really went after his opponents, but he's rarely out of range, it's going to be interesting to see what size ring they use for Valuev-Haye.

It's in my best intrests as a fan of Wladimir and Vitali that they have the very best rivals they could possibly have and if I was David Haye's promoter/manager I would want my fighter to be 100% prepared for the title shot when he gets it....so both sides should want the exact same thing! David Haye fought Monte Barrett, who was if anything a tune up fight, they needed to pit him against someone with Wlad/Vitali's size or with similar styles so when David Haye fought them #1 He would learn what to expect and #2 Prove that he could handle such important facets of the sport.

Evander Holyfield did a GREAT job preparing to fight Mike Tyson, he fought: James Tillis and Pinklon Thomas, top heavyweights both of whom Tyson had already fought and beaten; Michael Dokes the well experienced vet with decent power and Adilson Rodrigues a big puncher; and last but not least Alex Stewart the undefeated power puncher. I think Seasmus McDonough was thrown in there to keep Holyfield busy after Tyson lost to Douglas so as to set up a fight with Buster.

If Haye followed that pattern (with Holyfield type success) I think he could have built a very solid even dangerous reputation, he would have fought guys like: Lamon Brewster and Hasim Rahman for big punchers/old veterans, and somebody like Sam Peter for the big power puncher veteran, and Cris Arreola or Denis Boytsov for the younger undefeated power puncher, I know Boytsov isn't a tremendous puncher but you get the idea.

Instead all Haye has done is talk...and that is extremely disappointing, and annoying as hell
