No mention of him having a gun then? He was huge hearted till the end,but once that money was shown,the savages came after him.Real shame and imagine his lil boy finding him there like that....damn cowards.

Considering how the media likes to emphasize certain things, I'm glad they aren't mentioning his gun. If he had one legally, it didn't really matter and didn't really help. Wasn't part of the story. This story explains why there was as chase anyhow-that part didn't really seem to make sense to me but chasing after a wallet thief makes more sense. I'm even more totally disgusted now hearing the circumstances around the actual shooting. In today's society, you have to damn near be paranoid when it comes to other people today. It's a damn shame.

Hey DC good to see you around. The NY Daily News says that the gun was licensed in both Georgia and Florida.

Vernon seemed like one of the good guys in the sport. This is getting crazy with fighters going like this

Forrest never did it for me but you have to respect any guy with a record like his and anyone that is killed so early into their lives is tragic

He did a lot of work for charity, remember Sky showing that work about the time he was beating Mosley and thinking what a good guy he was. A Big loss to boxing and the community he lived in.
