They're just about my exact thoughts on this fight.

Watching a few Dirrell fights recently he looks very impressive to me. I can't believe he's the 14/1 outsider in this thing.

His speed is going to give Froch murders. If Dirrell has the bottle for it he'll win. But equally it wont be a surprise if Froch drags him into the deep end and drowns him.

no doubt in my mind dirrell will look to be the aggressor from the word go and will have froch on the ropes on more than a few occasions.

But we`ve seen in the past how carl enjoys those types of slug fests as he is extremely good at not allowing himself to become to inveloped in what the other guy is doing and froch will no doubt pick away at dirrell every time he lunges in.

If the judges go on dirrells sheer athletisism alone it`ll be a tough call, if however it comes down to who landed the better shots and asserted themselves better froch will win hands down
Hmmm, why do you think he'll come out trying to come forward and back Froch up?

    Andre Dirrell right?

He comes out pretty much every time moving and trying to box. He pretty much never comes out the aggressor trying to back his man up.

Against Victor Oganov he came out boxing and moving http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooMdGA1UimY

Against Anthony Hanshaw he came out boxing and moving http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYLcZ...eature=related

Against Derrick Findlay he came out boxing and moving http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlW-n...eature=related

Against Curtis Stevens he ran the whole fight.

He may throw a lot of punches but he doesn't come out the aggressor coming forward trying to back his man up. Froch is the obvious pressure guy here.

Nice one Ouma, I hadn't seen much of Dirrel (that's why I haven't made any predictions )

Fantastic movement, nice switch hitting style, hangs his chin out a bit though - will have a closer look at some more of his fights!

Dirrell's explosiveness is overrated, I think his loud exhale deceives some people. He'll be able to overwhelm many fighters, but doesn't have the single punch power to really buzz someone and keep em honest. He's fast and has a lot of potential, but nowhere near a complete boxer, and seems to switch hit due to the fact that he hasn't got a right hand rather than as a tool to confuse oppoennts.

I find Froch hilarious, he's probably dreamed throughout his life of being some sort of all time great counterpuncher, but he's so slow he couldn't move out of the way of a fucking milk float. He has a solid chin and long reach, which means he'll be able to land his mildly above average power while he's still willing to take shots. IMO this fight will come down to how good Dirrell's chin is.

When I say explosiveness his speed, which really is top drawer, is partially what I mean, not just power. And I would say he can crack a bit, he can hurt people, not one punch them, but hurt them with one punch especially because his speed helps him catch guys with stuff they don't see coming.

He's got some issues though. Goes too wild offensively at times, throwing cartoon combinations which gasses him out a bit and I'm not sure he has the greatest chin. Also I think if you're a Froch fan you could take some confidence from the Oganov fight and the Hanshaw fight as at times he's looked a bit uncomfortable with pressure. Then again the Oganov fight especially I think he fought kind of like he thought the guy across from him was garbage, I would suspect he'd play it a bit more safe against Froch. And he really beat the shit out of Hanshaw after the start of the second round, worse so then Roy although I'm the last guy to overrate an old Roy.

He's got a fast accurate jab. That's going to give Froch all sorts of problems. It's easy to say you're going to put pressure on somebody but when you're getting tattooed in the canister with a jab like that it's easier said than done. Dirrell could win the fight with just his jab. If Dirrell has the stamina that Jermain Taylor didn't have he wins this fight easily. The fight will be like the first few rounds of Froch-Taylor.
