Hey guys...
Here's a link to a recent story on Andre Dirrell that PressPassTV produced following his win over Curtis Stevens.
Things are really starting to happen for this kid, in and out of the ring.

All due respect to Direll and his fans, after watching his bout with Stevens I started craving something more exciting, like a rematch between Jermain Taylor and Cory Spinks.![]()

i've only seen a few fights but i enjoy watching him and his brother.
I take it you missed his last fight (Direll) against Stevens.Originally Posted by 'The Boxer'

Something along the lines of Briggs-Sergei and Vargas-Castillejo.
I still cant find respect for this kid after the stevens fight. When you clown and then physically turn your back and run from your opponent who couldnt lay a glove on you all night... you just need to get b*tchslapped.
If I ever watch one of that kids fights again, it will be because I know he's gonna get KTFO.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

He's got alot of kinks to work out but he does have potential. I would like to see him start to sit down on his shots a little more. But he's got time on his side.
Well to be honest here I'm willing to bet HBO will NOT give him that time anymore.Originally Posted by silent assassin
They tried him out once, he didn't deliver and that's that.
Chances are he blew his shot with HBO that night.
U could be absolutely right. I meant his age, handlers, & the stage of his career. He could still take the longer road if he gets his sh*t together.Originally Posted by CutMeMick

Guess he could take the B-Hop route or the Winky route.
Not much is guranteed on those routes tho.
The kids def. got talent but hopefully he watched the tape of his fight that night and realizes what he did will not help him.
Theres a difference in being a slick fighter a la Pernell, PBF, Toney in his hey-days, Lopez but what he did that night was far from that.
Yeah, pullin that kinda gameplan out it's hard to keep put the a**es in the seats.
