My point was that David Haye isn't a fighter like Ricky Hatton or Joe Calzaghe....he doesn't have the experience or the fan base to draw the types of crowds he says he can. There was NOBODY at his fight vs Monte Barrett!!

People do seem to forget that Lyle. Everyone says Wlad Haye sold out do to Haye well how come if Haye is such the draw why didn't he sell out his first notable fight at heavyweight vs Barrett. Haye is a joke and I hope Valuev disposes of him.

Haa.Irony....you do mean THE Monte Barrett .I'm betting that before its all said and done.....Barrett will have been aired on HBO more than both Haye and Valuev

And he's lost all of the ones he was on in. Except when he fought Dominick Guinn and a close loss to Joe Mesi.

Just thinking about this fight puts me to sleep. I couldn't care less about it.

    From ESPN:

After Haye turned tail and ran from Wladimir Klitschko (June 20) and then Vitali (Sept. 12) to sign for a Nov. 7 fight against Nikolai Valuev, I received a lot of questions from the Fight Freaks during last week's chat asking whether HBO, which Haye blew off by backing out of both fights, would be interested in televising Valuev-Haye. So I asked HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg about it. His answer was short and sweet: "We have no interest in a Valuev versus Haye fight." I don't blame him one iota.

Why waste time setting up to televise a fight that may not happen. There is still the chance the WBA may not sanction it anyway, regardless of whether Haye shows up to fight or not.
Yeah right, the WBA will sanction a barbecue. They are absolute whores when it comes to sanctioning fees.
Sanction a barbecue?? That is hilarious. I think that says it all about the WBA.

I am interested in how many people show up for this fight, and the PPV numbers in England. The fight itself, I'm still doubting it will happen.
