I see Jones winning it i dont no how but his speed (whats left of it) will win it for him, but i wouldnt be suprised if Lacy drops him like he did against Jermain Taylor he still has some seriouse power in his left hand.

I picked Lacy for this one mainly because I was in Vegas when Roy fought Ruiz. If Jones has the legs he had for that fight he should be able to run around Lacy all night scoring meaningless taps. Lacy is much more durable and powerful. Don't take this as criticism of Jones overall, I think he was an amazing fighter, with natural ability like few. I just think that Lacy has a little more at this point in their careers. Besides, Lacy knocked a heavy bag off the ceiling, even if it was hung with toggle bolts.

i think lacy will be dangerous for the first three rounds if jones can get past them i think he wins a wide points decision or wins by a late stoppage

He never dropped Jermain Taylor legitmately, from my memory it was a shot to the shoulder. Jeff Lacy wasn't ever elite even in his prime IMO, but now hes been reduced to a journeyman status.

Gift decisions against Epifanio Mendoza, Otis Griffin, further prove this point. And you say Jeff Lacy still has some major power in his left hand, but whens the last time Jeff Lacy's stopped anyone ?

His last stoppage win was in 2005 against Scott Pemberton since that, hes never come close to stopping any opponent, even C+ fighters. Personally i think this fight is a farce.

Im a big RJJ fan but i don't see what this is achieving. RJJ is clearly shot and Jeff Lacy has been totally ruined. And it seems like both fighters are just fighting now just for the sake of fighting. Both need to retire A.S.A.P.

Are you kidding me mate ? no offense i know its your opinion. But RJJ still certainly has enough to beat Jeff Lacy IMO, who's been struggling with the likes of Otis Griffin, Peter Manfredo, for crying out loud.

Manfredo is the truth... His defensive skills against Bika were mind boggling... You'll probably never see the likes of that prowess again.

Seriously, though... Lacy is only going to be dangerous early. Jones still has good footspeed even though he's shot. He'll probably win a medeocre decision win in an anticlimactic fight... But what do I know

Ahh sorry for hating on your boy POB, but i think you'll even admit Peter Manfredo is decent at best. Although i thought he could of done better, but he froze in his two biggest fights. And it reminded of Frank Bruno, where he didn't know what to do when he's in trouble.

LOL... He got KTFO by Bika!

He's an ordinary fighter that got lazy and jumped two weight classes...

    lol

Thats so crazy it coul actually happen.

Then my two favorite fighters of all time would be in there together.

    Mayorga vs. Jones

When Roy was commentating for HBO on the Trinidad vs. Mayorga fight he did say something like

"I love this guy! He can go to war with me anyday!"
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

It's a 'Pick em' but I just think after the JC fight Jones will have even less left and even less desire. Jeff Lacy is clearly muck, but he will probably have more desire which I think will probably nick him the win. I don't say it with any confidence though
