Ricky did just that after the floyd defeat and even with an average performance was commended for picking himself up so quickly. Its been almost 3months now and if ricky is still in 2 minds as to whether carry on or not then its quite clear he doesnt have the heart or desire to be a champion anymore.

30 years old with a record of 45-2 does not warrant retirement, he is quite capable of 1 last journey to the top with 2-3 fights and should not be calling it a day at his age.
But, as you should know, a fighters age and record are not indicative of his capacity to continue as a fighter, just look at Fernando Vargas. Hatton has taken a ton of punishment over his career and his lifestyle outside of the ring only compounds his problems. He may only be 30, but his ring age is far beyond that. He's done and he should stop before he gets hurt.
