Say what you will about Hatton, but you cannot question his heart. He's fought the best and they've had to comatose him to get him out of there. Witter says he had a sore elbow, but I saw little sign of this during the actual fight. He wouldn't give a post fight interview so it's almost like he took some time out thinking of an excuse before allowing the cameras into his dressing room.
Witter is a big fat![]()
I can see theres a lot of hate for Witter but he was 35 going to the States to fight an unbeaten Yank. It was a big ask. I duno if it was a genuine injury but if it was then its tough luck for Jnr

He gave a interview in his dressing room after hears the link its half way down the page Bradley Sends a Statement To Pacquiao, Even With The Cut - Boxing News

He got out of the ring ASAP though, it was only after cooling off that he was ready to get in front of the cameras. Just seemed a bit weak. Why not just say you had a bad elbow whilst still in the ring. It's almost like he needed to buy time to work up an excuse. Maybe it wasa legitimate injury, but it seemed a bit weird whilsy watching it all unfold.![]()

I think it probably was a legit injury & despite what he said, his emotion in the interview tells me that this probably is it for him. When asked, he paused long enough that I think he thought it was but didn't want to commit to retirement just yet. His performance was an embarassment, but no more to me than Hatton's pub drunk imitation against Pacquiao

Having spent $150 on a ticket, I personally felt that the least he could have done was not come out looking like someone who'd never boxed before. I don't care if he didn't quit, him swinging all over the place for 6 minutes was just as irritating & embarassing to me personally as what Witter did.

Just proves that Witter isn't that good atall, because Alexander sure isn't the second coming by a long stretch...... I'm thinking that quitting with an injury he's tryin to hold on to the idea that people will still think he's good for another chance and only got beat because of blaah blaah. If he'd have got whooped that would have been curtains for sure......
