They were fed out to the Manchester Evening News along with a statement from Hughes saying we will move on to other targets if others don't materialise (lescott). My mate's heard this has forced Lescott's hand, cue Moyes rant in the papers this morning. Lescott has been left out of the Everton squad for today's friendly with an 'injury' so what looked like a dead - duck, could now be back on.

We're also trying to close a deal with Fabian Delph from Leeds. Not sure what i think of either of them to be honest, The price for Lescott is going to be £20m which is way too much. Half hoping it doesn't happen, but we desperately need a left footed centre half. Would rather us go for Upson but for some reason we aren't.
Delph needs his head testing if he thinks joining City would be a good idea, might be lucky to play 10 games and that will be in the carling cup.

Hughes has a huge job keeping these players happy.
Lol we won't last that long in the Carling Cup.

Leeds are trying to sort a deal out so he stays there on loan but at the minute we're not keen oon that idea. As big as the squad is we are a little bit light in the centre of midfield - if we get a few injuries.

It's in the Daily Mail today about Lescott handing in a transfer request. Read it and weep Lefty!
Delph is going to Villa, good choice if you ask me.

    Good career choice.

Really fucking weird. We had a bid accepted but then asked Leeds' permission to think about it for a week. I don't get the point in that.

Shame because he has some potential but he'll get more action at Villa so good luck to him.

seen delph a few times and he looks a good prospect

No doubt he`ll end up playing for a much bigger club than villa and they`ll make a nice little earner off of him. Do think its a bit early for people to be classing him as a potential superstar.

Wilshire at arsenal is world class for his age. But that wont mean sod all if he doesnt improve his game every single season and just stagnates into a trick pony ala:joe cole.

Remember seeing joey as a 16 year old running rings around every single player on the pitch and people around were claiming he would be the next george best. Never quite worked out for joe because he got too much too early and didnt push on like he should of done.

I don't know, i think he looks real good because the standard of players around him isn't that high. Found out that Villa had a bid accepted, Leeds' had agreed to sell, we came in with an offer that matched it, Leeds wanted more (£4m more) and that's why we said we wanted to think about it - he's not worth £10m. Leeds rejected this in case we decided to simply pull out. Bates' made out in the press that we made a bid and then asked for time to think about it.

Moyes has told Lescott that any transfer request will be rejected and made public. This annoys me because Moyes went on a rant earlier in the week about conducting transfers properly and then Everton go and make the Lescott bid public, their Senderos bid public and no he's threatening to make Joleon's transfer request public. We're getting some serious shit form the press when we haven't made a single bid public.

Villa made the Barry story public, Barca made the Eto'o one public, Chelsea made the Terry one public and now Everton with the Lescott one. How are you supposed to conduct transfers these days?

Jozy Altidore will be on loan to Hull this season...I hope he picks the flow of the game up fast!

Aquilani is coming to Liverpool...I am cautiously optimistic, he is very talented, but seems to be injured quite a bit

If we kept the same team with Alonso we could have won the league. I think we may have blown it. Aquilani is injured already and will not play until October.

Media reckon we're in for Upson but i haven't heard owt yet. We're giving the Lescott deal a bit more time but we want a centre half in for weekend so unless anything happens in the next few days with lescott, then i wouldn't be surprised if the stories were true.

    1 Chelsea
    2 Manchester United
    3 Manchester City
    4 Liverpool
    5 Arsenal
    6 Aston Villa
    7 Tottenham
    8 Everton
    9 West Ham
    10 Fulham
    11 Sunderland
    12 Blackburn Rovers
    13 Birmingham City
    14 Wigan
    15 Bolton Wanderers
    16 Hull City
    17 Portsmouth
    18 Stoke City
    19 Burnley
    20 Wolves

That's what I'm going with so far, although a few choice signings before the transfer window might alter it a bit. Should be a good season for the Hammers if we can keep people fit & away from the likes of Spurs & Man City. I reckon Savio might come on a bit this year, & Luis Jimenez who we've got on loan is quality. If we bring in Luca Toni as rumoured then Europe might not be out of the question
