    Default Andrade - Bute II

Well I look forward to see what happens this time.

I backed Andrade in the first fight, simply because I like the person he has shown to be and we was a underdog fighting in Butes backyard.

It was a tough fight for Andrade and Bute where dominant in most of the fight.

In the dying seconds Andrade got Bute down, I thought Bute was out, but the ref only did an 8 count.

Please note when Bute get a hand towards his corner from the ref his legs is still gone and tumbles towards his own corner. In my book Andrade won, but at least now we will have a big fight this time in Andrades backyard.

Who will win Bute or Andrade ?

I think Andrade have an edge over Bute knowing he can get him down´, on the other hand Bute has shown he has the tools to give Andrade a tough time in the ring, but it seems that Andrade like that

    Andrade late KO

I think Bute will hold twice as much as he did in the first fight and skate away with a wide decision. I really hope I'm wrong cause Andrade is one of my favorite fighters.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Bute by wide UD. I'll be cheering for Andrade, but I think Bute beats him again.

Andrade should not have the last fight based on the final round (unless you feel it should have been stopped before the KD, read the IBF's rules). But whatever, lets just keep having the same argument we had months ago.

Haha if Bute had shown he was ready and able to take a step forward he would have beaten the count, no doubt, but the judge didn´t ask him to do that , and I doubt he could have, but at least we get a fight with a bit of nerve to it this time

None of that means jack shit. The IBF rules clearly state that if a fighter is knocked down with less than 10 seconds left in the fight then the fight is over the second his gloves clear the canvas. Him being able to continue or being told to take a step forward is completely irrelevant. All that matters is that his gloves cleared the canvas before the count of ten, which they did.

the ibf clearly states that the fighter has to be able to continue, but i can see the ref's point in not wanting to take a win away from bute given the circumstance. It was just good luck on bute's part but bad luck on andrade's part. Since andrade got lucky enough to get a second chance, he has to finish what he started, preferably in the early rounds.

Agreed Bute is a clever boxer who does not often repeat his mistakes....

I too am a big Andrade fan and would like to see him win but on the other hand I am a fan of Bute as well....

As far as a hometown advantage goes the Canadian people have taken a big liking to Andrade...Foe the Tsypko fight he was gioven a tremendous welcome to the ring...

    Will be a good fight

    Where do they say it?

    6. The bell will not save a boxer in any round of the bout. If a boxer is "downed" just before the 3-minute bell in any round, the referee's count shall continue and the bell will not ring until the boxer rises and his hands clear the floor.

    http://www.ibf-usba-boxing.com/userf...ut%20Rules.pdf

As soon as Bute's hands cleared the floor, the round (and thus the fight) were over. It says nothing about his ability to continue.

it just says that the bell cannot ring unless the gloves leave the floor. They don't specify whether the fighter can continue but they do emphathize that a fighter cannot be save by the bell. It's all under the ref's discretion. Andrade was just unlucky.

That rule is one of the most vague in boxing. So he could just rest on his paunches & keep his hands up & he'd be up??

The fight should have been stopped prior to the KD when Bute almost fell over the ropes. However, it's interesting to note the difference in timing when Andrade was 'knocked down'. If Wright had applied the same type of count, (ie fast) than Bute would have been counted out. There's a vid on youtube that shows Wright's performance throughout the fight, although I wouldn't watch if you don't want to become more disillusioned with boxing

Bute with a loopsided unanimous decision like in the first fight except that in that one, he won't go toe to toe with Andrade like he did in the last fight. First time he won 11 rounds and got staggered in the 12th, this time, he wins clearly the fight by mashing Andrade's face, winning at least 9 out of the 12 rounds and not repeating the same mistake.
