Where do you live (if you don't mind me asking)? I'm in Victoria.

If Pac did train in Van, I'd assume he'd hold a public workout type thing at least once. I'd love to get a picture CMM-style with him.
Kent WA, If PAC trains in VANCOUVER I'll definitely visit

Washington is awesome. I love it there. If I was an American, I would move to Seattle in an instant. It (and Tokyo) are the two best cities I have ever been to. I love it there. My girlfriend and I are headed down in Oct. to see the Pogues. We're going to catch the Coho to Port Angeles and drive to Seattle. There's a whole bunch of places I want to see along the way.

Enjoy your visit, also try Leavenworth WA it has that quaint German town overlooking the mountain. It's about 3.5 hour drive from Seattle. I also love Vancouver by the way, very beautiful place and the Canadians by the way are very accepting and accomodating people not that I'm patronizing.

Looks like WBO gets heave ho and WBC ateps in (Jae C. Hong, AP Photo)

The WBO and its president, Paco Valcarcel, may be getting left at the altar by Bob Arum.

In a very shrewd back door play with his so called “Diamond Belt,” Don Jose Sulaiman has undercut the sanctioning fee price ($150,000 for Miguel Cotto, same for Manny Pacquiao).

I don’t know the exact amount Sulaiman is shopping his new belt to Arum for but it is a mere pittance compared to the $300,000 Arum would have to shell out to Valcarcel’s organization.

Arum could care less about either Alphabet Soup organization and this is why Top Rank’s press release announcing the Pacquiao-Cotto bout for Nov. 14 in Las Vegas and giving ticket prices and sale information as to the ducats left out any mention of a world title being on the line.

Valcarcel covets Pacman as a WBO and Sulaiman wants to have Manny again wearing his green and gold belt.

Attention Kmart fighters, we have a Blue Light Special on a 145 pound “title belt” on Aisle 14.

Insiders say Arum is still angry at Valcarcel for how the WBO leader’s constant Puerto Rican golf course buddy, Oscar de la Hoya, wound up playing with Cotto recently.

Sulaiman also has a strong ally in Cotto lawyer Gabriel Penagaricano Jr., who is an official of the WBC and whose father has a long history of being affiliated with the WBC.

The bottom line is that Cotto may yet hand in his WBO crown or have it stripped and the WBO will get bupkes (Yiddish for nothing) as Pacquiao-Cotto turns into a WBC Catch Weight title bout.

I wonder how WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto feels about that or if he even cares.

But the signs are there as to Valcarcel and the WBO getting dumped unceremoniously by Uncle Bob.

Tickets for the WBO welterweight

title bout between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto don’t go on sale until Monday, but the buzz is already beginning to build and rooms at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas are beginning to fill-up.
Ringside tickets for the biggest boxing match of 2009 are coming with a face value of $1,000 each with the nosebleed seats going for $150. Even in an economy that is reeling and on the ropes, the few available tickets for the general public are expected to be scooped up within hours of going on sale.
With over three months to go before the fight, most of the over 5,000 rooms at the MGM Grand have already been booked for the weekend of Nov. 14th. A visit to a travel agent today by this writer confirmed that only the high-end rooms at the MGM are still available for the weekend of the fight.
“There's must be something big going on for this happen,” said the agent. “The only thing I have open are the signature rooms. I don't think I've ever seen that happen three months in advance. Usually, and especially lately, I can get rooms at the MGM quite easily, they have five thousand of them, so I'm a little shocked to see that to be honest with you.”
When told that a big boxing match was taking place on that weekend, the agent nodded and raised her eyebrows.
“Well, that's still interesting because I've handled travel arrangements for people going to Vegas for New Years' Eve as well as UFC events and I don't think I've never known the MGM to be that full that far in advance.”
With Manny Pacquiao headlining his third straight fight at “the house that Tyson built” ticket brokers are salivating. A quick check today on one popular ticket seller shows the seats in the furthest reaches of the Grand Garden Arena, where the ring looks like a matchbook and the fighters look like ants - going for $338 a piece.
However, the most shocking price tag, is of course, reserved for ringside. In the area usually inhabited by the Nicholsons, the Stallones and the DiCaprios - two ringside tickets in Section A, Row A down on the floor are already selling for an astounding 22 times their face value and will set you back $22,536.

GMANews.TV - QTV: Contract for Pacquiao-Cotto fight signed - Video - Official Website of GMA News and Public Affairs - Latest Philippine News

Sorry the video is in Filipino, basically what Atty. Jeng Gacal stated is that the contract is already SIGNED at the contracted weight of 145 lbs and indeed the WBO welter title is on the line.
We'll just have to wait for the US news for further confirmation I guess.
