Its not that I don't agree with you, Mayol has not been impressive. But as I said I'm basing my vote on his last performance! Over the completed rounds he performed well against our #1 rated guy & very nearly got the nod... & the fact is he didn't lose! That's good enough for me! He gets my vote!
Can't be that much of a joke as The Ring also rates him.
Latimore got rated in with his last fight being a loss, sure he had the Powell victory also but that's not what got him in, it was how he performed in his last bout with Spinks. Just like Mayol's last performance against Calderon!
