Well the that's the voice over guy for all movie trailers. Don lafontaine..and was what he said false? Floyd was p4p number 1..
"Gigantic hole in boxing" and "The King has retired", those two statements from lafontaine should go in the same tray that Catchweight should go in...

I don't know about anyone else but the quality of this countdown just makes me appreciate 24/7 even more.

Nothing comes close to the build-ups HBO puts together...NOTHING!

I had to watch the videos last night and they were nice. Mayweather was showing some respect on Pac when he said JMM is numero uno in Mexico. It was nice that he impliedly acknowledged that pac is p4p #1.

I can sense the hunger in JMM's eyes and I'm afraid for MAyweather. Someone will get hurt in this fight badly ala JMM vs Casamayor.

It's true though, PBF WAS the King and Pacquiao onyl got the number 1 p4p spot after Floyd retired and he beat Floyds last 2 opponents.
I think you kind of slipped my point. "Pound 4 Pound King" and straight up use of "King" imply different things. I don't care atall for this P4P crap, but if PBF was it then he was it. What he certainly was not, was a King in the way Lafontaine implied, and what he certainly did not do was leave a Gigantic hole in boxing. Do you honestly believe that the depth of boxing as a sport is that shallow that PBF left a gigantic hole. My knowledge on boxing is certainly not at the level of yours for sure, but I sure as hell know that boxing lives on with or without the "King".

You're taking it too literal. In context if floyd was p4p number 1 he's on top in the boxing world. If boxing metaphorically is a "kingdom" then floyd was the king implying that he was the top dog. It's a promotional video supposed to create intrigue, interested, some kind of emotion to get people to watch the fight. An Advertisement if you will.

And regardless of what you feel the fact is when floyd left there was a void filled with tons of questions esp in the WW division. Now that he's back maybe they will be answered....

PBF vs Berton, cotto, shane, pacman, marquez, williams, clottey, margarito are all fights that many wondered about, so now that he's back maybe we can get at least two of them...not counting the marquez fight...

Ha....... Your right........ PBF can be whatever he wishes......

I'm not a genius atall, just a designer, so i'd like to see and hear something a little more original I guess than the cheese fest of lafontaine calling him a King like its a movie trailer. I guess what it comes down to really is i'm one of those guys who would love to see PBF take on a true gladatorial style challenge where he pushes his ability to the limit or simply just get knocked out. Neither will be happening against Marquez no matter how many times they build up the fight and call him King.....
